Thanks Keven. That sure is a fun toy.
Herd rock university wants to know what drill bits you are using.

@alanrobertson2510 Sierra Blaster sells them. They have 2 different kinds and are pretty cost effective, can even save 10% if you buy a 10 pack.

I’d wouldn’t be surprised if you found gold in that Rock with a magnifying glass… Amethyst is a cool crystal but they are very finicky they can’t be left out in the sun or they bleach out white and all the pretty purple color disappears. Sierra blasters look like fun and a lot easier than feather and wedges (same principle drill a hole and then put in a feather wedge and drive them in with a 3 pound sledge) but it takes a lot more holes with feather and wedges. That was fairly quick. Cool video thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼

Yep there is gold in that rock. They used to haul it off and crush it. I have tried to crush it and it's defiantly not worth it. We did have a blast playing with the blaster and it sure is going to be a fun summer.

I appreciate that crossdraw rig. You don’t see much of those anymore these days. We are planning to start gold prospecting as a hobby, but I will have to also try and get my wife and son out in the field to look for some Amethyst. Supposedly our state has some, along with corundum and a few other gems.

@@alanrobertson2510 Thank you, Sir. I want to eventually learn how to fabricate my own mini (backpack) high-bankers. I have a few outside the box ideas that I’d like to test out just to see how well they work. Good Luck to you as well

Hi Alan. What drill bits were you using. My quartz fights back harder than that.

Looks like a carbide tipped SDS bit, that’s what i see. Love your channel HRU..

Most drill bits have 2 cutting edges on them at the tip those are garbage… I get my drill bits from Lowe’s they have the 5 point cutting tips and they drill through rock like butter. They aren’t cheap but worth every penny

Yep, this brand lasts OK, but mainly I can re sharpen them. They would just go about 4-6" on one sharpen in the rock I have to use them in.
