MG has a DCTgear that takes around a second and half to downshift. In the rolling race the MG guy should have used the paddle shifters and had his car in a down gear already when the whistle blows to avoid that DCT delay. You might be surprized to see the JUMP MG would have taken this way.

@@MotorsportsPakistan If you don't mind Honda civic 1.8 has 141 hp whereas MG HS has 169 hp I recently checked their specs and I think MG is not much good as civic for this competition

Civic X 1.8 really showed it potential even without forced induction less hp and the most important thing which is less torque cvt makes the car with less torque even more tricky to launch especially when your going up against a vehicle with more torque which has a totally different poweband throughout the rpm range coz forced induction vehicles have a meaty torque curve through out the revs which is very different than N/A vehicles and the N/A consistent response on civic x doesn't help either coz of the sluggish cvt on civic x and low torque below 5800rpmon.MG HS has a little turbo lag aswell which is normal for turbo cars which gives a little mili second delay as soon as you go wide open throttle HS also has a quick shifting dct transmission still what I noticed that MG HS turbocharger runs out of puff above 6000rpm coz everytime when it was in the higher revs it would lose a little ground and civic x would start to cover the gap slowly as soon as HS changed a gear it would again hold the gap where as civic x with cvt ofcourse staying in the power band consistent once it would reaches above 5800rpm which is like I said sometimes tricky to do so you guys did a great job Motorsports Pakistan 👍I would love to see MG HS vs HONDA VEZEL coz both have very similar power numbers and both have Dct transmissions and after watching HS against Civic X 1.8 I feel a VEZEL with healthy engine and battery pack will smoke HS till it's limited speed of 185 regardless if it's from a dig/standstill or rolling start keep up the good work👍

@@umerswag Vezel with weak battery packs have this problem otherwise the ones in good shape and full charge don't let any 1.8 civic even come right next to them till 160

I have Sonata 2.5 and RS; RS smoked Sonata but I’m sure things will be different after certain rpm.
@@void-abb-initio no. CIVIC RD smiles Sinaat 2.5 easily all through out. First of all. Sonata has conventional auto transmission and Civix has CVT.
Also Sonata has no turbo charger in it.
Civic rs produces about 6 less hp and 10.nm torque less then 2.5 Sonata.
And Civix is also 1000 cc less then Sonata but turbocharger does wonders for the civic.
Civic, has CVT, Turbocharger, and excellent power to weight ration.hence Sonata won't catchup to Civic
They both have almost the same acceleration.
Impressed by MG because MG is much heavier and less aerodynamic,still manages very impressive acceleration upto 150.

There is nothing to be impressed about mg except about it features . Jus imagine 1.5 turbo can’t even defeat a simple 1.8 civic 😂 . I bet if there was tuscon or sportage they both have given a margin to civic

@@umerswag sorry to mention but I wanted to say that tuscon fwd and sportage fwd can easily beat mg . Mg is also fwd so of course there is not a match between awd and fwd but I personally drag mg and Kia Sportage Fwd and sportage won so …

I have Sonata 2.5 and HS; did a short run. HS does well initially but can’t keep up and it’s quite evident why.

Local pkdm swift 1.3 will get dusted by fit 1.5 hybrid same will be the case if you do it with the 1.0 turbo swift.fit 1.5 is a quick hatchback has same acceleration as Vezel
Only the local swift which some of them are converted from 1.3 to 1.5 or 1.6 swift sport will be a good match against Fit 1.5 Hybrid
