RIP Alexi Laiho
Apparently I filmed this cover over two years ago, and then promptly lost it in the deluge of other unfinished videos and projects. Definitely got into a Children Of Bodom kick after the untimely death of Laiho, someone I considered the epitome of talent and skill on the guitar, and someone I looked up to for almost all of my musical journey.
I'm still not over it. But the least I can do is pay tribute by playing my favourite song in their catalogue, Kissing The Shadows, off their album Follow The Reaper. If you haven't heard it (which, what the hell, why the fuck haven't you listened to it yet?) you can check out the full album below.

Very nicely played! I appreciate the mixing on this, it's much easier to tell the two guitar voices apart. I'll use this to learn the song myself :)

I can confirm, The Beast has bitten people before. It's gotten me a few times as well, all those sharp edges can be hard to play around. But it's so awesome, I have to forgive the odd cut and bruise.
