great video as always... the recurring problem ive found on Brian's tone are that most of the gear are old and no longer in fabrication, wich make them really expensive, so is REALLY IMPORTANT that channels such as this one continue makin' demos and reviews for the lucky ones to afford all the different gear. +Brian May Tribute a good tb for example. very few shops in the uk sell them. i have just ordered a proper hand made in uk tb that looks close to the tb83. its made by voltage pickuos here in the uk. its a genuine re creation of the ones hes used for years exactly like the ones you use so silicon transitor.

Great little amp. I found one for an ok price on Ebay recently. I really want to try it with a bigger cabinet, but the 2x12 I have is the wrong impedance.
it's Solid State, you can hookup a higher Ohm cab without problems. It will just reduce the output power to half or a quarter. e.g. 100W at 4 Ohm is 50W at 8 Ohm and 25W at 16 Ohm. For a tube amp this hazardous because of the Output Transformer and output tubes which will get strained.

I tried once with headphones. From what I remember it sounded quite fizzy...something normal when you put heaphones on devices who can't simulate a cab.

The BM model AC30 has a TB built in, does it not? Wouldn't a standard AC30 be a better test? With the BM model I think you're plugging one treble booster into another treble booster.

You can use the VBM1 as a TB into the AC30 VR.

Sostituto di un AC30 non direi, altra pasta sonora.
Un AC30 "in piccolo" potrebbe essere il Vox Pathfinder.

Two different amps as the VBM1 “replicates” the Deacy while the MV is like a small AC30.

Guitar was plugged directly into the amp which has an inbuilt Treble Booster.
The BM model AC30 has a TB built in, does it not? Wouldn't a standard AC30 be a better test? With the BM model I think you're plugging one treble booster into another treble booster.
You can switch OFF the inbuilt TB of the AC30 BM.

Which amp do you prefer - the VOX AC30 C2 or VOX AC30 VR ?
I don't like the C series too much to be honest...but anyway, it's an all-valve AC30 so surely better than the VR.
