I'm just now finding you. Welcome to the FP community. Thanks for your videos! Great video here. I don't mind PenBBS I just don't care for pens that don't post and I dislike the fact that most of my PenBBs pens are impossible to clean out completely. Ink gets trapped inside the filling mechanisms. But I do like to fiddle with them and they are great writers for the most part. Some of their acrylics are super. Keep making videos. I will definitely keep watching.

I just bought one of these 495s, too... I got mine in the Galaxy Blue acrylic... and I love it! I'm a big fan of PenBBS in general, especially after flexing the tight tines a few times to improve the ink flow, but once that's done, they're as good as any pen that I own at a great price.
I was looking at the Galaxy Blue, I wanted it sooo bad. But I try to get different colors in all my penbbs pens. So the next new pen Penbbs comes out will, Ill get in Galaxy Blue. Im so over trying to get expensive pens only, especially when they make goods at this price.
That’s a pretty pen, and Autumn Oak is a lovely color- this video reminds me to bring it out and use it again. I will check out your travel channel. You have a friendly presence and I am so envious of the bookcases behind you! What fun I would have filling them up!
Definitely is my favorite color pen I have right now! For Autumn Oak, I like to use it with a medium nib, to really let the ink shine:). Thank you for the kind words, that really means a lot to me. Books have so much endless knowledge.

To be honest I have been around for like, two years and I didn't know what a blind cap was, so I don't blame you xD Regarding the pen, a lot of people don't like how the 495 looks like but I dig it! (except the red piston... it's like penbbs wants me to use red ink with the pen) but the acrylic you chose hides it well. I own a penbbs 469 and it has a round medim nib on one end, but sadly it's a bit overplished.... One good thing about it is that I can write with it in almost any angle so that's cool! Anyways thanks for the vid! :)

@@Inkwellchronicle Whether you should buy a 469 or not, it's really up to you. Personally it's useful to me to draw on the go, as I only take one pen but carry two different inks within it. The design is not common, and you're really getting two pens for the price of one... But I recommend you watch reviews before you buy it. It does have a big stepdown from the barrel to the grip section and that can be a deal breaker to some (most of the time I'm one of those people, but the stepdown isn't sharp at all so it doesn't bother me like others.) This is something extra, feel free to ignore it: Honestly if you're curious about a pen, I say go for it! But since you're just starting on this fountain pen journey, one thing I can recommend is to set limits from the get go. Personally my limit is to not buy to pens from the same color, or from the same model... Stuff like that. It makes you appreciate your pens more and really think through your purchases! Same goes with ink. These conditions have saved my wallet many times, so I hope they help you too :D ... Anyways!! Whatever you plan to do with your chanel, I'm looking forward to the next video :>

But now I am free in life to where I have more time to give this community (hopefully). I think I will try it out and buy the pen. The idea of having two pens in one is very interesting. Yeah I dont like to purchase the same color. I like to be able to tell my pens apart. Thank you for the support again. Im trying to find balance between my travel vlog channel and this pen channel :)

Love your videos! Just a heads up, when showing the nibs, we really can’t see as you didn’t zoom in at all. Feel like the videos would really benefit from some close up shots. Love the dual camera thing you have going on, Looking forward to more!
I really like the color of that pen. I’ve found PenBBS quality to be hit-or-miss, but overall good enough to recommend. I may need to check this one out. Thanks!
My favorite color way as of right now, its just breathtaking. It feels like i'm royalty anytime I pull it out.:). I feel you on the quality aspect, but I only have problems with some of my penbbs pens writing dry. But I heard they are made that way because of writing script in China, its better that way. Im not sure if thats the reason or not. But this round medium wrote like a dream, straight out of the box. My Pennbs touchdown filler took sometime before it started writing like a dream. Hey! Youre good! trust me. your writing is fine. its certainly better than some your video isnt long it fine could be longer doodling and commenting and what not. I encourage you take a minute to observe others to get a rhythm and potential ideas thatll work for you. many of us have found our niche that works for us (though im not a creator). best wishes in your endeavor!
Unscrewing the cap finial is not necessarily unusual… it appears you could remove the clip and screw the finial back on… some folks prefer no clip… thanks for your review!
I like your videos. I want to try a bunch of different pens and its helpful to know which to avoid and which to try. Especially because a lot of the pen channels are focused mostly on $30+ pens

3:45 lol That's happened to me before. Nope, not purposely done. That's usually a defect. The nib was completely exposed, right? I'd email the seller.
