His mantra about playing without the ball makes me believe our offense will execute assignments at an even higher level than last season. I’m hoping between him and Choice the swag of our locker room will be renewed. There were times last year where I felt like everyone (besides Bijan and X) was scared to step up and make a play.
Brennan Marion reminds me of Jay Valai (our former defensive backs coach who is now at ALABAMA). Although Jay was a defensive backs coach , his positive and up beat personality infected the team. As a casual fan, I could recognize this just by watching my TV screen. Last football season, I felt that TEXAS' mindset was fragile and easily broken when faced with adversity. Marion's mere presence and story should put some grit into this talented and young team. A 5-7 team will give Marion the ammunition to push Xavier Worthy, Jordan Whittington, and Isaiah Neyor to pay attention in the film room ,run their routes precisely in practice and work on drills outside of practice to secure the catch . With Marion, Texas will win 8 plus games next year. GUARANTEED!!!

Go GO offense, unbalance looks gets the defense out of their base defense also creates number advantages. With receivers look a the Hawaii receivers(even through they throw every play), Howard, and the development of Addison at Pitt. Him and Tashad can teach the mesh point very well in the run game. Also the guy is a fighter look at his background grinded all his life and is shows in his offense and coaching.

My guess is Flood wants to return to being a head coach. So if he has a couple good season at UT I could see him promoting somewhere else. That could open the door for Marion as OC. But that's all speculation haha
After this video, Texas may want Marion as their HC if Sark fails. And let's be honest. Most Texas coaches fail because of the donor/fan environment. It sounds like Marion could navigate that kind of negativity better than anyone. But on to more likely and necessary commentary. I have said all along the main thing I don't like about Sark as HC is his work as play caller. Not that he's a bad play caller. Instead, being an HC at a university like Texas is extremely demanding on one's time. My belief is that HC's at places like Texas are too busy to also be effective OC's. They need to manage let their OC's call plays. Assuming Marion shows out like this video indicates he can, and Marion is called up by another program, Sark might just be a fool to let him go. Instead, let go of the OC duties and give the position to Marion to keep him around longer. We'll see how the egos work out tho.
Marion shelved the GoGo to climb the coaching ranks, now he’s getting into a position to introduce scheme. He’s the offensive pass game coordinator so getting more control than at Pitt. His development at Pitt is the interesting part of his time at Pitt.
