    please never delete this lesson. My tutor has been working on the lo, la, le, los, las, les, me, te, nos object pronouns for two weeks and I felt hopeless. After one video on LE from you and I finally get it. Wow, forever grateful.

    I had watched this video a long time ago but I forgot about the "something" test. Being a little more sophisticated I can say that I am now getting a handle on direct and indirect pronouns. This video offers a simple test that bypasses a lot of grammar theory. On behalf of those who are where I once was when I first saw this lesson "thank you for making the complicated seem simple! Well done Sir.

    Gracias por explicar tan bien cómo y cuándo usar LE + something (indirect object - for/to him/her) and LO/LA (him/her.)👍El truco de determinar si hay que poner SOMETHING en la frase o no es increíble.🎯
    Unos ejemplos para practicar:
    1. (Jefa) Necesito pedirle jefa cambiar mi oficio.🙏
    2. Necesito decirle a ProSpanish que sus vídeos me ayudan muchísimo.🎯
    3. (Sara) Ayer le di un libro en inglés para estudiar.
    LO/LA (direct object)
    4. (David)
    ¿Dónde está David?
    Puedes encontrarlo en el garaje.
    5. ¿Hoy has visto Carmen?
    Sí, la vi en el jardín.

    I am revising a lesson from the Prospanish Course, that dealing with verbs such as Gustarse, encantarse, importarse and apeterse, and touching on the “personal a”: While dealing with ‘I fancy him/her/them), Me/Te/ etc cae bien, I believe it says that I fancy Pablo is “me cae bien pablo”, my question is why is it not “a Pablo me cae bien”?

    • @LearnSpanishLearnSpanish
      @LearnSpanishLearnSpanish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because in this type of sentence the subject of the verb is Pablo. Pablo falls well to me - me is the object. The personal a is for a person who is the object of the verb. It's confusing with verbs like caer, gustar, encantar etc.. because they work back to front compared with English.

    Another great lesson! The part where you describe how to use “se lo” was helpful. Can you help me understand how this works when using habérselo? The rule doesn’t seem to sound right in the context of the following example, “¿Si ella sabía sobre eso a quién pudo habérselo dicho?”

    • @LearnSpanishLearnSpanish
      @LearnSpanishLearnSpanish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As haber is an infinitive the selo can be tagged on the end. It could still be at the beginner as well, a quién se lo pudo haber dicho? " ...to whom could she have said it" The whom includes the idea of him/her(le). The same would apply to "....to whom could he have given it - a quién pudo habérselo dado . Also, a quién pudo habérselo vendido.

    It still can confusing and I will explain. necesito comprarlo algo (him)...necesito comprarla algo (her)...this is I feel distinguishes between him lo..and her la.
    If I put a name to it say Juana...necesito comprarle a Juana algo...or...necesito comprarle algo a Juana.
    To me, if you just say to a friend out the blue sky...necesito comprarle algo...They have no idea who you are talking whether name or gender...

    • @LearnSpanishLearnSpanish
      @LearnSpanishLearnSpanish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your first example isn't right - you can't say necesito comprarlo algo, or comprarla algo. It would always need to be comprarle algo because algo is taking the place of lo/la.

    • @kcorpora1
      @kcorpora1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LearnSpanishLearnSpanish ok, but you cannot come in the house for example and say...necesito comprarle algo...The person has no idea who you are talking about...necesito comprarle a él/ella algo....so the person knows 1st at least what gender..
      But ok...algo is the lo...necesito comprar el perro algo...necesito comprarle algo...necesito comprarselo
