Dear Jennifer, good job, but "hasta la vista, Baby", it becomes famous for Terminator, but in fact , it is used , but no in friendly form absolutely. We say , hasta la vista, when you want to cut down an argument. I would tel you It is over, hasta la vista leaving the place. "nos vemos" is the number one to say goodbye. Vale, nos vemos. friendly and cordial.
Yep, completely agree with you@manuelgordillo 520!! In Spain at least, we don't use this expression in spoken Spanish, well may be once in a blue moon, but I have to say that my English uncle (from London) he uses a lot when says goodbye to anyone in Spanish, and it makes me laugh!! 😄😄
I think you both are misunderstanding what Jennifer wants to convey. She is referring to English speakers. They use it to say goodbye in a funny way.. the mosquito example is a good one. But you're totally right , we spanish speakers don't use "hasta la Vista"

I Know are quotes from films, we usually say, nos vemos, 98% and hasta luego 2%. .Jennifer is talking for all the world through, not for spaniard ones only.

Из наших - Место встречи изменить нельзя, а из американских - Terminator 1 / 2. Но есть еще несколько старых французских и итальянских фильмов (70-80-х годов), но они навряд ли вам знакомы. Двое в городе (с Аленом Делоном), Профессионал, Признание комиссара полиции прокурору республики. Это всё криминальные и судебные драмы.
