It's amazing when you think about how we use to leave the house as kids in the 90s with no phones or anything on us and be gone for hours and we all turned out fine, but we won't even drive to the gas station as adults without guns/knives, phones, money or edc gear. Great video sir 👍🏾💯
Found this video today when you referenced it on the live stream. As a father, I sincerely appreciate this important and informative video. Thanks for all you do.
Is not the tool, but the skills. Kids opening their packs and selecting the tool inside the pouch while in an stress situation sounds like phantasy. A tracker makes sense, but be sure they will be out of the pack in the moment they are abducted. Nice intention, but not applicable.
I would recommend a Tile or a different off-brand tracker. Some can be found in a credit card size. Less recognizable than an air tag. The abductor my not notice it.
Not every aspect of survivial is instinctual or innate, you definitely have to teach some of it, so I think it’s great that you’re implementing preparedness in your parenting curriculum. The only things I would suggest are maybe a mini sharpie (it can be used to write in the trunk of a car or mark an assailant for identification) and zip tying the lighter as a precaution to prevent loss of lighter fluid - it sounds like that kit is seeing lots of action getting transported between multiple bags!
@@MarineX Try fidgeting with it… I thought the same thing when I first seen the trick. You can actually slide it off. Not sure if its only with the mini bic, but worth at try! Great video nonetheless, thanks for sharing it! :)
Amazing info. Having an apple watch was crutal for my son when he got attacked by the dog. He has the LTE version, but doesn't have a phone. You are able to set up the LTE versions up on a parents phone for the kiddos. There is even a school mode so they don't get distracted at school. My son likes the walkie talkie function to communicate with us when he's at a friend's house. Again, fantastic video sir
There should be an actual knife in there…..I know you can’t carry that stuff if going to school,But When she’s in areas or out she should have a decent little knife to defend herself👍🏻People aren’t quick to rush in when you’re swinging a knife if being attacked.
This is an interesting concept I have a nephew and nieces and I wish I could have them carry stuff like but I know for a fact that they'll forget it at home everytime.
I have two daughters and I really like the idea of them both carrying something like this, but how do you get around them having a lighter and knife at school? What alternatives could they include instead of the lighter and knife?
J-SERE. Makes me a little sad to think about kids needing it, but when I was 7, I was in a situation where I could have E&E'ed or I could keep my little brother off a milk carton, so as much as I hate it, but I love it to. The world is not breaking out in sanity, unfortunately. The only change I might make is a mini-bic with a foot or two of duct tape on it. Fits a kid's hand better, and hey, duct tape, and it makes room for a bobbin of kevlar thread. I also like the idea of having a tracker- the phone can be lo-jacked, can the watch?
Thanks for the good ideas - ideas that can even help adults keep themselves safe. The only point I disagree with is using a Victorinox Classic slip-joint knife defensively to "poke the [bad] guy" or "make him bleed". That's very likely to - God forbid - close on the child's fingers, doing more harm than good. Maybe a small fixed blade or box cutter may be easier for a child to defend themselves with.
I think this is great. There's nothing that I would add or take away. You're definitely on point with this. It's outside the box but inside reality. That's what it's all about. Great job. Enjoyed the video. Semper Fi. Charles 🪖🇺🇸❤️

Thanks brother. I need to redo this video
I would add some cash. Like a $10 bill. Always good to have a little cash.

This is a good idea. I have an extra tracker
No shit. East Cleveland. I’m a Cleveland man myself. Love the videos and love this video especially.

Thanks much. I thought of the zip tie. It's on my Bugout kit. I don't think she'll be able to cut it off when nervous with that SAK

What about a can of "the hot sauce" aka pepper spray?

I'd add a RiteInTheRain pen, metal casing, which would be far better for 'poking' scenarios and used for ad hoc emergency notes.
Not bad
Great vid. Good tips. I shared your video in my family group chat. Keep up the good work 🤙🏽
Awesome thank you!

I didn't see the word Escape till the end of the video. No wonder I was confused. Guess I better keep looking
Love this.

If you're school doesn't allow it I would avoid it. You might ask about utility tools

Totally agree. But this is the only thing my daughter can carry in school other than the Leatherman Style or Squirt
@@MarineX How about the Victorinox Swiss Card Classic ?
A small metal nail file with a rubberised handle that won’t hurt their hand when used. Ideal for jabbing in the throat, eye/face.
