Ghostbusters Afterlife Stay Puft Ghost Adventure! 30 Minute Mini Movie with Aaron & LB Fun Questers

- LB & Aaron are on the new property clearing trails when they discover a mysterious building they didn’t know existed. After finding a way inside, they discover a spooky lab with Ghost Buster costumes, a mystery box and a scary hand print! They take off running for the truck as three ghosts emerge from the haunted forest and hitch a ride to the Fun Questers’ home.
Back at the house, LB assembles a Plasma Pack, just like the proton pack the Ghostbusters use, from the parts he finds in the mystery box. Later that night, Aaron and LB try out the new Plasma Pack in a challenge against LB’s Ghost Blaster, before settling down for a campfire and s’mores. Just as they’re enjoying their treats, the three ghosts appear and combine forces to create the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbuster Afterlife. LB suits up with his new Plasma Pack and takes on Stay Puft in an epic battle.

I gotta say, I love that you guys actually put a concerted effort into recording really good audio. It really gives you a ton of production value and makes your project stand out.
One global note I do have though - you don’t need to have your characters describe every detail About m about what they’re doing, seeing, and hearing. Stuff like “oh there’s a log”, “I hear a wasp”, or “my compass is spinning”. Use your camera shots and audio to tell those parts of the story for you. Show the compass spinning, let the sound effect of the wasp do its job (the audience knows what they’re hearing), and combined with the characters actions of waving his arms around, as a viewer we understand there’s a bug flying around him, we don’t need the characters tell us. When you do stuff like that, you kinda are implying that your audience isn’t smart enough to figure out what’s happening, and subconsciously they feel like you’re talking down to them. But if you let the visuals and audio do the storytelling for you, it also draws your audience into your story more deeply where they start to feel like they are on the journey with the characters, as they get to figure out what’s happening at the same time as the characters. Finally, you also then won’t have wall to wall dialogue, which helps make your project now dramatic so your audience isn’t bombarded by constant talking and allows them to feel more of the drama.
Despite all that, I applaud you on the effort. Good camera work, pretty decent lighting, and great sound. Good job.
Thank you for the very constructive feedback. We really appreciate it. We're working hard to try to step up the production values of all our videos, especially the longer episodes. And, we totally agree that we need to back off the talking. If you're familiar with our previous channel, T-Rex Ranch, you probably know that our audience was primarily very young Dinosaur fans. We adopted a very descriptive style of talking about everything we saw, to help our audience better understand what was happening. With our new channel, Fun Questers, we're working to make content for the whole family. It's challenging to break old habits, especially since we're just a family of three with no formal training in acting. But, we're practicing our acting style off-camera to let the action happen and let the visuals do the talking. We hope you'll come back and check out our future adventures. Some were filmed a while back, so they will be the older style. But, we think you'll notice other new episodes where we have made those changes. Thanks for watching!
