Holy shit, I kept hearing these guys on octane and decided to check their other stuff out on my 6hr drive back to work. I keep waiting , expecting a bad song and yet every one just gets better and better, if that's even possible. Lyrics, vocals, riffs, melody. Every component of every songs are top notch. I expect this band to have an insane career creating amazing music that not only sounds unbelievable but also helps many people, including myself, thru difficult times throughout our lives. If those aren't two of the fundamental goals of a bands songwriting then their writing process is flawed in my opinion. . That's some highly Impactful , quality music right there, that I'm sure will leave its fingerprint on a part of my soul for the resf of my life. As good music should. And for that every one of you in this band has earned my respect, my gratitude, and my thanks, Thank You!!!!

I deal with a lot of conflict inside my head, and just listening to what Matt sings in those songs pretty much perfectly describes what goes on in my head. I love Matt because he’s a clean guy and he’s never had a substance addiction problem, but from his lyrics, you can just tell the man’s been through it all. I discovered these guys recently when "heavier" popped up as a suggestion. Loved the track and did my usual which was immediately dig into the whole catalog by SLAVES. These latest tracks are light years ahead of the older stuff. I'm sure some long time fans might still have an attachment to the old style & singer, but coming in never hearing them before this singer, this writing, this production is top notch. What a transition in quality.

This song is PHENOMENAL. 1. Adding Matt's acoustic origins in to diversify the song even more with an acoustic over electric guitar. 2. The subtle R&B feel to the verses, and 3. Finally a video with more Felipe! He got some decent camera time!!
It's rare that a band is as amazing with a new lead singer as they are with the old one. Fortunately, they were lucky twice to have a singer who is a fantastic vocalist that fits the feeling that they want to put out into the world.

Jonny is talented no doubt ... and has been very influential as long as hes been around.. BUT every band imo seem to make a big jump forward after hes gone. i like heavier music but Emarosa, Slaves and DGD have all put out amazing music since. and i really dig this song as well
