Just reading the comments about losing money. I learned the hard way aswell so always try buy a running car learn to walk away from non runners no matter how good the price is. Excellent job on the rebuild tho looks great.
Recently wrecked my mk7 and am looking to rebuild it. Where did you get a majority of the parts? Do you know of any places that I could get parts for cheap. Thanks very much. Great video!
Good job. I'm curios about the engine block. The white car seems to be a TSI, not a GTI. Have they the same block? Besides, I didn't see any sequence in the vid where you dismantle the engines to swap parts. Am I missing something?
@UpstateGarage did you end up swapping a new steering rack and pinion in? I need to replace mine and its impossible to find an exact part # to match. Did you use rack with similar part number or were you able to use a different one? any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
How much was the total cost of this rebuild??.. I have a MK5 GTI (2009 with TSI engine) with similar damage but my engine is good though. I'm wondering if it's work fixing.
I think I ended up loosing money on this car because I didn’t expect there to be engine damage when I bought it and then I had to buy the parts car. But I’m trying to get another gti or golf r with rear end damage so I can use the parts off the parts car so it’s not a complete waste.
so you bougth one gti crashed to rebuilt it,then you bought another one for the engine that was crashed too, apart from that you have to bought tons of parts that we all know that even when you change-place it by yourself because it is for gti costs like gold,so why dont you just buy one used?
I already bought the first one. Didn’t expect engine damage or to buy the parts car. Yeah thought it was gonna be an easy fix but it turned out a lot more than what I expected. I also got a good deal on the parts car.
Wow! I would never know that was a wrecked car after seeing the results of the restoration!

Great job- Massive admiration for your perseverance- I must admit I would have just bought another car and kept the damaged one for spares 😊
This is awesome! Love the mk7 gti
Ten days you mean ha ha ha.Outstanding job really.
Great job
Bonjour vous travaillez super
cool bro , very nice .
Very good!
Masterpiece.
Appreciate it
where did you get that complete front bumber?
Awesome! But why you didnt save the White one? It looks like having less problems...
Had a certificate of distraction. Parts only title.
Headlights should have a red stripe on them well here in the uk they do
Halogen mk7 GTIs don't have red stripes in the headlights only the xenon does.

Please tell me where you got that metal oil pan with a gasket? Is it off of an Audi?

Yeah. The white car was also a gti. Idk where you got confused about the tsi but everything was a plug and play. Easy swap but lots of work.
Lindo demais esse carro.

@UpstateGarage
We both know this didn’t take 10minutes, but great job
Thanks man.

Wow I am totally impressed please sell me this car
How did you program the headlights to where they need to be?
Awesome!
Nice👍

Great job fella. How long did it take you to complete from start to end? What will you be testing for before its back on the road?
It was a slow process to get the parts, the parts car, airbags, clearing codes. Took like 6 months
No Brasil era sucata! O valor para refazer o carro seria outro GTI
Si Amigo
The was sweet as to watch g
How did you replace all the open airbags? Or did you "delete" them?
Buy replacements and reset the light.
Tough job
Hard work pays off :)
How much did you get that gti for ?
what jack were you using?
Air jack. Hooks up to the air compressor. Really convenient
Great job guys!
But how much of money costs this project?
It cost way to much so I already sold it.
@@UpstateGarage okay 😀
Awesome job done there mate and I just wanted to ask what camera are using to record your videos?
GoPro 8 black and iPhone
God job
Thanks
Not a bargain if you have to buy a second GTI for Parts.
Yeah. For sure.
@@UpstateGarage 😆
Sehr gut👍
Can I know where do buy the parts for this car
Total price and profitable?

But you are right. It cost to much. 😂
wouldn't it be cheaper to one clean GTI car and not buy two totaled out GTI's? Does this make any sense?
We needed an engine and the parts car had no title do we got a steal of a deal for a parts car.
Free GTI‘s
Have you sold it and if not would you be interested in selling?
Yes. Sold
I buy this wheel i have interest
Quelle grave erreur !! les nouveaux phares avant ne sont mêmes pas ceux d’une GTI... le reste bon boulot mais ce petit détail gâche le travail final.
They are upgraded golf r headlight 😏
Could you make a business doing this?
Possibly lol. Too much work. Not getting another project that requires this much.
Probably you lost a lot of money 💰 with this project 🤔
For sure
Looks like an expensive rebuild
Yes. For sure!
Facevi prima a comprarne una nuova!! E sempre una macchina rattoppata
Buy a clean car, better than all this work
Built not bought ; )
hey man u have insta or something to be contacted?
