When you have your element selected and can see the path, select the Pen Tool, and if you click on the path it should open up the handles! (I copied someone else's comment that helped me!)
Ok so, can anyone tell me why after the “click” animation when I move the cursor to exit it doesn’t stop/pause then exit out. My cursor continues on and forgets the “click” animation. Am I missing something. I’ve tried slowing it down but it’s too slow. Help! Hahahah

Replying for visibility to other folks: Goto After Effects > Settings > General. And then uncheck "default spatial interpolation to linear"
