As you are interested in trees Richard you might like to know that Marlborough has many fruit trees planted in public places(there is even a medlar in the Waitrose car park). The friut is available for anyone to pick.

Great video. The widest high street in the country is at Stockton-upon-Tees.
St Peter’s, the church at the other end of the high street is redundant and is now an arts centre.
Looks like you had great fun doing this video!

Yes. It's just 'Stockton-on-Tees', by the way, not 'upon'. (Correct me if I'm wrong anybody but 'upon' usually suggests when a river flows through / separates significant cultural / residential areas of a place. Whereas in Stockton's case it's just at the back of the High Street which historically had industry on the other side (now has offices/a campus of Durham University) although Thornaby is beyond that.

I came here with a tree fact too! St. Mary's Church in Alton Barnes, about 6 miles from Marlborough, has a yew tree believed to be 1700 years old. Still alive despite the trunk having split so you can walk through the middle.

What a wonderful old market town. Wish ya had more time to do one of your walk throughs. If this was a main road to Bath, then I'm sure my 11x ggrandfather Sir John Thyne would have taken it. At least his descendants as they became the Marquises of Bath.

Isn't that the whole purpose of the video, that viewers can see the town without the annoying presence of the presenters constantly being in the frame? My comment was meant to be constructive criticism.

The feedback is definitely appreciated and I'm in no doubt that there will be more videos to watch which suit your viewing preferences. Richard has been trying out different ways to film lately so when he's finished in Avebury and finds the time, I'm certain he will take in all the comments and react/adjust as he feels right. I don't think there was any need for the underlying negativity but yes, feedback welcomed!

You should show the place and not spend most of the time showing yourselves and talking. Show more and talk less.
