I’ve learned that when you’re at a place you don’t want to be at, your homesick, you don’t want to be there anymore, one thing that helps is to do what Miley Cyrus does in this song. Try to something there that you do like, try to find people there you do like, whether if you already know them or if you just met them, and try your best to focus on that. In my opinion finding/having a person there you know and love helps more than having a thing there you know and love, because you can talk to and hang out with that person. Try your best to enjoy that person or thing, because if you’re enjoying that, it will make you less homesick, and it will make you forget how much you want to leave. It also helps to do this if you’re anxious about going somewhere, ahead of time, if you can, think of something that’s familiar and/or think of a familiar face. I know that this might not work for everyone, or some of you might know this already. But it worked for me, and I thought that it might work for some of you that didn’t know it.
