Veggie Boys and Girls , I've gotta share that after seeing so many videos of you eating kohlrabi right outta the field I finally bought some today. I have been missing out for so many years. It's great raw. It reminds me of a Radish without the spiciness of a radish. Thanks for introducing a new veggie to me.
As I started watching this video, I got to thinking about how long it's been since we've seen Andrew complete a successful dirt dive. At 14:30, he did NOT disappoint. You may be asking yourself, "Why does this guy like to see Andrew take a spill every now and then?". And I wish I had an answer. It brings me joy though. Thanks Andrew!
You say you have a big end of potato season potato party. I would love to see that. You guys work so hard, it would be nice to see you relax and have fun.
How yummy all those potatoes look. Petey show up all over the place helping out. What an amazing young man. A great day of harvesting on the farm. Beautiful produce. Hi kids. You are all so beautiful. Big hugs to all. ❤❤❤
It always amazes me just how the rocky stoney ground produces such fantastic crops . That potato crop was huge 😊 Enjoyed the video 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
@@seedyhollow I am in Northeastern Ontario near Sudbury and corn is done here. The cold crops would still possibly be okay but everything else is done. Last outdoor market in North Bay yesterday and got some strawberries, yellow beans, onions, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Lots of baking to.
We’re the opposite. We like the small white potatoes. In NY they are called salt potatoes. They usually come in a five pound bag with a bag of salt. You boil them in water with the salt and when they are done melt a stick of butter over the top. Yum! They are a staple item in the summer along with baked beans and sweet corn. I believe they were invented in Syracuse,NY.
Just think of all the time on your knees, praying over the harvest is the best. We had to sow some grass two years ago and I prayed over every handful and now it is too thick. May God Bless your family with a wonderful harvest!
What a harvest! Glad Petey could join in and pick up potatoes with you. He is helpful. The babies are growing so big. Callie is fun in the fields and is enjoying Pop-pop time. All are working hard! Whew!
I get so excited watch you harvest your food. Doesn’t matter what it is. Makes me want to can more. Would love to have a farm market like the one you all have close by.
Papa ur such an awesome Big Daddy! The boyzzz are doing good harvesting the fruits of Gods/ ur labor and all to supply ur fellow man/ women / child we luv all ur blessed harvest, not to many old skol farmers wit all Heart Dad ❤.....God Bless the Och's Family including all da Special Ladies....Grammy ( Da Real Bozz) lol.....Luv u all ❤ 🎉🎉🎉
I've been in a slow mood with all going on around the world. My garden is needing canned up and all I can do is dehydrate fill jars toss in moisture packs and then the pepper why . So canning yep cowboy peppers and banana peppers, I'm very happy your doing so good to help feed so many as people are hurting all over. I'm feeding five families now as I'm sure they will help when my surgery comes. Bless everyone and give Hugs to all.
Lots and lots of potatoes! Awesomeness!!! Ronnie and Lilly are growing fast. Soon all the kids will be in school. Time will fly by. Thank you for sharing. Good to see Petey make an appearance. See you in the next one.
A lot of work and I’m happy to be rapping it up except for fall veg. We had too much summer rain, many veg aren’t keeping well, potatoes harvested early and some sprouting because it’s been too warm. 😂OMG I was wondering why you were picking up spuds by hand😂😂. Thx for explaining the other digger needs repaired as picking up by hand isn’t cost effective.
About 2 bushel both of broccoli and cauliflower is enough for my family for a year. I mix them together when I freeze it. I don't like either alone, but put them together and I will eat them.
Hi Andrew from SeedyHollow in Northwestern Ontario!! I believe you have had luck with our very famous pumpkin variety called…’Dill’s Atlantic Giants’ !They can grow up to 1,300lbs. That does take a bit of coddling but I think yours are great! I have a 3b growing season here and frost gets me all the time! With my greenhouse I may be able to do it yet! Say hi to Kalli, Ronnie and Lillie! Hi to mom and the whole gang try not to miss armchair picking with y’all! Happy Thanks Giving from us here to you!
As you repair the potato digger this winter you will get excited for next potato harvest…AND as you sell your potatoes this winter you can be thankful for the income. Great video and a great harvest, congratulations on jobs well done!!
Small potatoes. Love 'em. Well washed. Skin on. Slice in half. Place face down in a skillet (cast iron works best) on to a thin coating of olive oil, Once the pan is covered in potatoes, add water to about the mid line of the potatoes,, little round butts sticking up above the water. On the stove to a low simmer. Add pats of butter onto the top of the water. A pat per 6 or 8 butts. Then go do other things. The water will slowly boil off. By the time the water has boiled off, the potato will be cooked,, the butter then is on the pan. Cook for a few minutes after the water is gone until a nice brown face on the cut face of the potato. Your nose usually can tell you when they are done. The 25 or so minutes that they cooked,, and you did not have to stir, baby sit,,, you spent that time doing the bacon and eggs and getting the toast going. PERFECT camp food. Served to Boy Scouts for 20 years. Some chopped garlic thrown in with the water ,,, Good.
Lol, Andrew is having fun doing the potatoe roll. He is training the potatoes to roll into the basket, and Matthew didn't have the basket ready to catch. All kidding aside, Andrew, are you okay? I didn"t hear your answer when Matthew asked.
Andrew, I really enjoy your channel. You have really opened my eyes as to how vegetables are planted and harvested . We had a potato farm near us when my boys were young. They would let us come pickup whatever the harvesters left. We sure enjoyed the benefits of our work. I have a question. I think I have seen all your videos. I don’t remember you discussing where your hens come from. Do you hatch eggs and grow chicks , or have someone to do that for you? Is that something you would be willing to share? Thank you for all you do to help us know more of where our food comes from. We have started supporting our local veggie farmers. God bless your family.
So good to see you guys get a good potato harvest. That is a lot of reds but they are so good. I love the little reds with butter and parsley. Made fried cabbage and sausage for dinner, another fall favorite.
Hello Veggie People 👋, Andrew just did the ol basket between the feet trick, I hope not soar after that fall🫣! Absolutely gorgeous Spuds guys🎉.. Big Babies🌞. JO JO IN VT 💞
Would it be possible on a video that for those of us who have only known about your families for a short time, could we get a breakdown of who belongs to who, who is the oldest to youngest. Etc. Thanks.
When you were talking about the neighbors getting the left behind potatoes, it reminded me of the picture, the Gleaners! The story of Ruth & Naomi in the Bible.
I gave up on growing spuds in my raised veggie beds. 6 months later when I pulled up my weeds🤗 spuds, little ones. I left them. I pick out all the tiny ones and the next year I got to pick ( harvest ) enough for another 10 kg.👍

That Andrew -- always looking for a nap! Maybe you need Callie to hold your hand when you try to cross those wide potato rows.

What a good year for all of your veggies harvesting.
I was wondering what had happened to the potato machine you used last year! Thank you for the information!

Your harvest reminds me of our 2012 harvest. We planted 300 lbs. They yielded so good. Filled the pick-up bed & 16 ft trailer up 3 times.
Don’t forget to tell Grammy hi from Panama City Florida,USA. 🇺🇸🦅 !
My son just moved to Panama City.
Love love your videos I could watch them all day. My friends children are home schooled.

It was fun to get a glimpse of you, Pop Pop, and Callie as I stopped into your market on my trip yesterday. Btw, your pickled beets were delicious.

small white potatoes make yummy smashed parmesan potatoes!
Yip, maybe they don't know how to use the small potatoes. Where I live, small potatoes are super expensive and they sell well.
Great video, my 3 daughters love when they see your kids in the videos.
Your a good Dad Andrew. Your children are blessed to grow up with family around them.
Absolutely love the Veggie Boys and Girls! Can’t wait for more videos
Thanks for leaving the fall in the video. I had a much needed laugh. Glad you’re ok and didn’t get hurt.
Sweet corn, oh sweet corn, lend me your ear!!!! 😂

I saw that basket jump up and trip you... Totally not your fault. 😂😂
Hello Petey ...always helping out !!!
Gosh Andrew . . . pickin potatoes with your little girl, Life is Good!
in NZ we call the little potatoes "baby potatoes" and very popular just boiled with some butter on top or in a roast vege hot or cold salad
Nice to see Pete helping again.
Sounds crunchy 😊
Blessed year! Very thankful for you. 😊😊
Is the brand of potatoes "Och's Gold"? Congratulations on a productive harvest. Andrew, tumble safe👍👍👍
Would it be possible on a video that for those of us who have only known about your families for a short time, could we get a breakdown of who belongs to who, who is the oldest to youngest. Etc. Thanks.
Wow, your parking lot is so colorful.
When you were talking about the neighbors getting the left behind potatoes, it reminded me of the picture, the Gleaners! The story of Ruth & Naomi in the Bible.
Andrew, thanks for another interesting video!
Nice spuds! Fressshh potatoes, yummy 😊
A few videos ago I thought I heard Daniel say he was 'home schooled'. Are all you brothers home schooled?
I heard that too but wasn't sure if he is joking or not.
Yes I heard them say they were h. S.
It looks like harvesting the rocks early helped with the potato harvest.
Geez Andrew those potato fairies tripped you up! Mucho potatoes!
Small potatoes can be used for seed next year. :)
The smaller potatoes make the best potato salad and are awesome in soups. Sadie and Daniel should use them for there cooking videos. Love this family.
Do you guys ever grow Amish Neck Pumpkins? Really meaty Pumpkins. They kinda look like Butternut Squash, well at least the same color.
I gave up on growing spuds in my raised veggie beds. 6 months later when I pulled up my weeds🤗 spuds, little ones. I left them. I pick out all the tiny ones and the next year I got to pick ( harvest ) enough for another 10 kg.👍
Really enjoyed watching 👍👍
They are getting so big !!
Andrew is showing his gymnastic skills. 👏👏👏
Nice video, What variety of corn are you harvesting now. It looks great. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for this video; it gave me a better understanding of the dedication and hard work behind each potato we enjoy every day. Truly admirable! ❤
Everyone's always working hard!
Great video thanks for all the info you give 😂
Beautiful potato harvest
To the veggie boys and girls that was one big massive potato harvest 😮. WOW.
Time to bring the rock picker back thru.😂
Everything looks great!
I am amazed you guys picked up all those potatoes by hand!!
Ver como la tierra produce los alimentos ,con los buenos trabajadores de la tierra ,es sentir la sastifacción de que los alimentos ,son cosechados por manos que aman la tierra,y saben cuidarla !
Wouldn't really be picking potatoes if Petey wasn't helping❤😂
I love broccoli. Great huge potato harvest
