I'm surprised nobody has brought this up before. Great work, Shaun! I saw an interview with Earl recently talking about how bad their business is and how he hasn't been getting paid. He's the guy who owns the business! Disgusting to think that people would be so dirty just for the profit. :(
Appreciation for detective work. I am engrossed in this case. First thing I do is to check for any news or developments in the case, from all the best sources. Yours is certainly Top class. Thanks.
Shaun u never cease to amaze me..brilliant info! I knew about Sherri Herman & his families salvage yard but I didn't really think in depth like you have! There seems to be so many crooked factors going on in this case that it seems every LE had a reason for a frame job! Thanks for the video!!
Yes Steven actually states this multiple times. Steven said A car could get in an accident right down the street and the sheriffs dept would call another salvage yard. Brother Earl said it also on video. See people jump to judgment to satisfy their minds" They caught the killer". But when others have more to gain from this makes you wonder. Great production. The only thing you have a powerful voice. It doesn't quite sand out in the piece. can you add a bit bass and volume. I don't know maybe it's me and my crappy speakers. Keep up these great productions and insightful takes on the case.
Hey Kaybowser Thanks for commenting we really appreciate it and we'll make sure we keep improving our work to make it better for all of you. Thanks again and be sure to subscribe!
In ALABAMA when you own a towing company you have to be listed on the police rotation list and by law they have to go down the list according to what tow company is next in line for the tow. They are very strict about that here, but Manitowac is probably different knowing how shady they are.
Yes Steven talked about that in the documentary he said how they could just be right around the corner and not call them they would call the other salvage yard
Great job! This is why I follow you Shaun on Twitter! I'm confused concerning the photos you mentioned, they towed the Rav4 to the Avery property or from it? When?
Constructive criticism: The "background" music is louder than the voiceover. Please make background music a quieter and more subtle background feature that doesn't interfere with the audience's ability to hear and comprehend your narrative. Other than that, well done.
All tow businesses are in direct competition with each other no matter the distance! If you don't get the call, you don't make the money. Hmm...if the call comes in from the police then who polices the police? Its this type of "bad business" which lead to tow companies being on a city rotation list. To make it "fair". (This is in response to someone I refuse to tag)
+Mister Sister Yes, and my understanding is the Hermann refused to let them look at it. He said he was not a suspect so they had no right to just go look.
I can't hear what's being said because of the music being played. Why do people always do this, I mean mess up possible great content by drowning it out with loud music in the background?
I see plenty of evidence in other contexts that shows the the Sheriff's Dept. staged a framing of Avery in 1985 and they staged a successful coverup of that framing in 2003. That cover-up would have been exposed by the Civil Rights lawsuit in 2005, which gives me plenty of confidence in continuing to suspect that the Sheriff's Dept., at the very least, framed Avery in 2005. But for that to be true, someone within the Department would have had to have murdered Halbach or they would have had to hired someone to murder her. It wasn't just a mere coincidence that she died after having visited Avery's house. The latest deposition videos posted on TH-cam reveal a lot more than the original videos show in MaM1. The stories told in the depositions by Lenk, Kusche, and Petersen drastically conflict with each other, with no easy way to resolve them. The story told by Kusche actually names Steven Avery and Gregory Allen. Kusche corroborates the entirety of the Douglass Jones memo, with the exception of Kocourek's name. Having said all that, your allegations against Hermann do not show any direct evidence that Hermann capitalized on Avery's demise. To do that, you would have to show all the records of towing calls to Hermann's salvage yard from both the Sheriff's Dept. and the police department. It has also been stated by Allan Avery and Earl Avery that their company was excluded from the towing lists that the Sheriff's Dept. and/or the Police Dept. use when calling requests for tows. As someone mentioned here in a post, either both departments operate on a rotating basis when calling for tows, or they don't. But your suspicions don't mean anything without some hard evidence. Hopefully you will be able to find some. I would definitely welcome it, because I am not a fan of the Manitowoc Sheriff's Dept.
Watching the depositions in MAM, I was astounded how much like the deputies and others who set up Steven and kept him in prison sounded like mafia godfathers and hitmen being questioned in videos I've seen. The John Gotti and before that the guys who created Las Vegas...when they'd get these old guys on the witness stand or before a grand jury (I can't imagine ever actually seeing that unless they recorded it and later 60 Minutes got it through FOIA or something, but I have seen them do that "I don't remember" and "I can't remember" from the 70s on. These cops are of that school--how the hell they ended up way up in Wisconsin I have no idea! I keep wondering if the salvage yard has polluted the groundwater somehow and if they drink wellwater...was the mom born there by any chance? Could they have some awful chemical hurting their brains, and maybe in small doses it makes people further away lose their sense of right and wrong?
This evidence gives the sheriff addfitional motive to despise the Avery clan -- but common sense tells us there's virtually zero chance any outside party could tow a vehicle onto an extended family's residential compound without somebody being home to notice. Whoever put the RAV4 that close to the Avery dwelling and put bones in the backyard pit and so on had to have the run of the place and know when all possible witnesses would be away or otherwise occupied -- whićh means someone in or very intimate with the Avery family. The sketchy stepdad seems like best candidate, otherwise Steven or one of his sex-offender brothers.
+MisterRlGHT Not that tough to bring a car in the back road, far from anyone's house, and they DID see lights and went to check it out, twice! Also, neighbor from quarry called in trespassers, but if you're the Sheriff planting a car, then they caled the bad guy for help.
+MisterRlGHT People did notice. One person on the property saw headlights, and another saw taillights on the property, on the night in question. You reference that it was an extended family's residential compound. Give that information, it would not be uncommon to see headlights or taillights, coming or going. This was a tow company and salvage yard. It is common practice for tow companies to run 24 hour service schedules, otherwise they stand to lose out on tons of business. It would, likely, not be uncommon for a tow truck carrying a vehicle to be driving on the property at any given hour of the day or night. They likely wouldn't have suspected anything wrong about this.
+tracewolf1 Karma indeed is coming and it's going to bite those who participated in this massive cover-up. Best believe that. Just one more thing I'm glad of, not being one of those guys.
The Avery Salvage yard was in decline due to their own acts, they didn't need any help in destroying their business. This is absolutely absurd and makes no sense. There are dozens of salvage yards in the area. This one is quite a far distance from the Avery Salvage yard. They were never in direct competition and have nothing to do with each other. Comparing him to the maffia is like comparing Justin Bieber to John Lennon.
Love this video I have been waiting for someone to come out with sheriff Herman's piece of the puzzle! Nice work Shaun!

It keeps getting better.

Interesting info and high quality production.

Shaun, I think you've found the missing piece of the puzzle buddy.
Great job! This is why I follow you Shaun on Twitter! I'm confused concerning the photos you mentioned, they towed the Rav4 to the Avery property or from it? When?
Thank you Shaun for sharing! Very interesting. Wonder if this is the man Nova is talking about in her reading??
interesting video, thanks. :)

Or "The Other Side". I give credit where credit is due :)
Interesting.
Who knew auto salvage was such a lucrative business :P
Hmmmm very interesting indeed! It's all about the Benjamin's $$$$$$$$
MrChrisd73 So TH obsessed ex boyfriend didn't have a motive? But SA did? We'll see once the true evidence and murderer is exposed by Kathleen Zellner.
We'll see

Didn't the Cleveland Salvage yard also have a smelter?
Yes i'm pretty sure he did have a smelter
+Mister Sister Yes, and my understanding is the Hermann refused to let them look at it. He said he was not a suspect so they had no right to just go look.
this guy did his homework.
I can't hear what's being said because of the music being played. Why do people always do this, I mean mess up possible great content by drowning it out with loud music in the background?
That is a motive.
Interesting video but the music is very distracting and makes it hard to hear you

The Money Man for the cover up
"cleveland Auto & Salvage also had a smelter on their property.
It was checked - by CCSD
The music makes it difficult to hear the vocals.

I sure hope so and hopefully its on live tv.My issue is with Atwood using the case for publicity
+Wayne Burnett Publicity?! GOOD! The more these crooks and their crime syndicate are exposed, the better off all Americans will be!
