Refreshing Daily Yoga Flow| 7 Min Mobility Practice| All Levels

  • This yoga sequence is designed as a simple flow that can be done as a morning or evening refresher, perfect for the weekend or a busy weekday at home or while traveling, i.e. anywhere, anytime. The asanas here include some of my favorite movement patterns that I try to include in my daily practice. As I approach my 50s, I have learned to really value my mobility so as much as I prioritize strength training, I also make sure to stretch my body everyday.
    I have included a timer here but please find your own rhythm and follow your breath. If you wish to stay in a pose longer, please do so! Consider this as a rough guide by which you can structure your own practice. I have kept it short because I anticipate TH-cam will place an ad in the middle if the video is longer which I know can be VERY distracting.
    ✦Format: : 45 sec work, 15 sec rest (except for last set: child's pose release)
    ✦Equipment: mat, yoga block, blanket (optional)
    ✦Asanas include: alternating knee to chest, downward dog to pigeon pose, butterfly/cobbler pose, cobra to upward dog, side bends, garland (malasana), mountain pose, child’s pose
    ✦Modifications: butterfly pose: blankets can be placed under the knees
    pigeon pose: blanket or block under the stretching hip (elevate hips)
    garland pose: keep feet wide, don't sit as deep into hips, place block under hips or folded blanket under heels if ankles are tight
