7:20 this breakout of the song gets me hyped every time.
What I personally have always taken from this song is the line "I tried to change the WORLD, with honor and aggression, no one listened, no one cared, all they saw was misdirection ".
Meaning being that he tried to wake people up to the state of the world but no one listened and no one cared and all they saw was some crazy madman in a mask screaming.
This song and Gehenna are mad underrated.
Not the strongest song but All Hope Is Gone is super underrated as an album. Happy Saturday everyone!
Completely agree bro, AHIG is my favorite Slipknot album. This song is probably my least favorite off AHIG, it's not a bad song but there are definitely much better songs on the album.

Funny guy says about evolution between the albums always thought that about Corey Taylor's mask especially
First one s Young Corey he finds a mask in a cornfield on a scarecrow. It fits loose and it drives him crazy by the next album Orion the mask have become one. By the third album he's torn mask off in revealed his new grotesque face. Fourth album he's had surgery Got a new mask to cover his face. And the gray chapter it's his new face with scars. We are not your kind more face surgery first the clear mask then the mask that looks like a balled version of the first two bring it back full-circle. Lol
Freaking love this album! I think you guys are pretty much done with AHIG except for the bonus tracks, my favorite AHIG bonus track is "Child Of Burning Time". I always said AHIG was Slipknot trying more traditional metal. I love guitar tone. Gotta try The Burden and Override. They are basically B sides from The Gray Chapter. I honestly believe it's criminal that the those songs aren't well known.
This is definitely a "love it or hate it" song, with an abnormal rhythm. The second half is excellent, and the first half is decent.

Maybe AHIG is not as good as Self Titled and IOWA but my impression of this album is deeper than the others, I don't know, my emotions are always complex when listening to songs on the AHIG album, and thank you for the reaction, very few people react to this song, it's hard to find it

Guys, you should, please, react to Garbage and Screaming Females cover of "Because the Night." If you thought that Prince solo was something else (and it was), the last two minutes of this cover will have your jaws on the floor and wondering how the damn guitar isn't in flames.

@@sinisterking6009 well my area is full of rap and pop so it's the easiest way to describe my music to non metalheads. Since my state doesn't have a metal radio station anymore it's not as popular. My state hasn't had a station for me in about 10 years

@@sinisterking6009 yeah I got that after I read it again. Nu metal is a good introductory genre for new comers to metal. Just like I've always said if a non metalhead wants to check out metal for the first time alway start with Metallica. They are like the gatekeepers for new members.
