People like you make us go. I already had the flight bought, but you were a good help planning. If you ever come to Portugal, will be delighted to help. Best regards from Cascais, Portugal
Ok.. that is it. After seeing your video, I am booking a visit to Menorca this July. Watch out manta rays and octopuses in the sea, here I come ! Thanks for the awesome video. Bravo 🙌🏼
I would recommend visit the different "talaiots" that you can find in Menorca, there are a lot! Not only beaches are nice, there is a lot of culture and ancient places.
We love Arenal d'en Castell & are staying there very soon for our 7th visit. The bay is amazing & Crystal clear, usually so calm, and it's just down a slope from our hotel. ❤🏖

"Wow, I just had to leave a comment to say how much I absolutely adore this channel! The tips and insights about Menorca were simply fantastic. This video has made me even more excited about visiting the island. Thank you for sharing such amazing content! Keep up the great work! 😊👍"
You have no idea how happy this makes us!! 😍 Thanks so much for watching. Hope you have amazing time in Menorca 🙌 PS: There will be more Menorca videos coming this summer 😋
@@NALBATRAVELS Hello there! What a hilarious coincidence that I stumbled upon your TH-cam channel featuring videos about São Miguel Island, as I actually live on São Miguel myself! It's such a small world! Your videos have been quite entertaining! If you are considering visiting São Miguel Island again, I highly recommend coming during the summer months. The weather is much more stable, allowing you to enjoy the island to its fullest. There are so many beautiful places to explore, and one must-visit spot is the Ilhéu da Vila Franca do Campo. Trust me; you won't be disappointed! For those interested, I also have a second channel called @landscapes_and_Drives where I showcase more of the stunning landscapes and drives around the island. So, feel free to check it out for some extra inspiration before planning your trip. If any of you decide to come to São Miguel, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'd be more than happy to provide additional tips and recommendations for an unforgettable experience on this magical island. Thank you for the wonderful content, and see you all in São Miguel.
Amazing! Thanks guys! I'm going in June and I absolutely can not wait to see all of these places. If I'm only going for a week will I have enough time to see all of this or should I only focus on some stuff? I'll be staying in Es Castell.
Love love love your vid's and have planned much of my trip around your recommendations :) There are very few decent resources for Menorca. Did you ever do a vid on the cave? Ive tried booking in advance but the web site says I can only buy on arrival (or pay crazy money to book a VIP area). Any tips would be appreciated, Thanks and again, I really enjoy your feed!
Thank you for the kind words! We have been to Cova a few times but the queue to get in is always super large and hard to get tickets. I would recommend to get there a good few hours before sunset as it's your best shot to get it. We didn't make a specific video about it but in some of our vlogs we added some clips of it. It's stunning :)
Great video guys. Any recommendations on how to get to Menorca from the mainland? I heard some rumors that there is a ferry... can you give recommendations on that?
Thanks! There is a ferry from Barcelona, but I think it can take up to 8 hours. Personally, we've always taken a plane. From either Barcelona or Madrid, it takes less than an hour.
Searching for some tips for Menorca. How did you move around on the island? I am thinking of rentig a car. Can you recommend this? I dont know the park situation etc. there.
it really depends on what you like more. If you want to stay near a city with a lot of restaurants, then book a hotel in Ciutadella or Mahon, if you prefer to stay near a beach in the tourist area, try Cala Galdana, and if you want near beautiful beaches but with not a lot of tourists, maybe Fornells, Arenal D'Encastel... There's quite a lot of options, but I'm sure wherever you decide to stay, you'll have a great time! 😁
Thanks so so much! I’m watching all your episodes on Menorca and they’re helping me to planning my trip. I will go in April. I know that it’s not summertime so I probably will not swim there but I hope to enjoy the same the city and the place. ❤️ thanks
Really liking your Menorca videos! You could do a 'places to eat' video. Eg, where's really good for Paella? Think I remember having an amazing traditional Lobster stew when I was there years ago. What about vegetarian restaurants? Bakeries - Ensaïmadas.. and of course, coffee! There must be many beautiful places to eat in Menorca. We're going back there in a few months time.. really looking forward to it!
We usually recommend Ciutadella or Mahon! You can find the comparison of the two in this video we made recently: th-cam.com/video/RddiwEJvKiA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AxB_iRPhNsr3THKa
What is the best area to stay for a couple in theirs 30s who love hiking and being active. Not to much in to the night live and very interested in the culture of a new place and love good food of course 😄
There are hikes all around the island, but if you stay in Cala Galdana you’ll have access to great hiking trails in your doorstep! Ciutadella is the best area to explore culture, just make sure to stay away from the port to avoid the nightlife bustle 😅
Hi am looking for somewhere they have tribute acts on on the evening I've been to calabona loved it but would like to try somewhere else thank you for all the information you share on you tube
Hey there! So the local festivities happen at different dates in each area of the island, that’s where you’ll be able to attend traditional events. You can find the dates for each area here menorcablue.com/culture-lifestyle/menorcas-local-fiestas/fiesta-dates-places/
It will definitely been colder than in in July/August, but I think people already start swimming by then. Have fun and let us know here if it was too cold or not :D
Holidays are my biggest fear. Trying to push myself. Watched your video and planning my first holiday in my life (Menorca sounds just right). Thank you for great video! BTW How many days is a good number?
We're sure you'll have a lovely time! In terms of time, it really depends on personal preference. If you want to explore the towns and do some activities (we have loads of other Menorca videos, you can check those for ideas), then maybe a week. If you just want to go to the beach (which is also great), then less than a week I would say :)
Once you start, you just can't stop. So far 61 countries. Put your fears away, free your soul just put yourself in the road. Plan safely, but just go. Will help you planning. Best regards from Portugal
Hi there! Thank you for this amazing video. Would you be able to share the best places to stay, and transportation around the island? Also, what would be the best option--AirBNB or hotels? I will be going for my honeymoon!
Thanks for your kind words! Glad the video was useful 🥰 And of course! The places I recommend the most to stay at are Ciutadella or Mahón - Because they are the biggest towns (meaning the have the most things happening and the best transport links). But if you get a car any area in the island is beautiful to stay at! Unfortunately the public transport is not great in the island, so most tourist end up renting cars. If you don’t drive then definitely stay in one of the towns I mentioned, as you’ll be able to find public buses from there to take you to key areas. Hope that you have the best time on your honeymoon!
I recommend renting in Fornells, Mahón or Cala Galdana 😊 In terms of horse power I’m not sure it totally depends on the kind of activities you want to do! Also in Spain I believe there’s restrictions in terms of horse power you can rent as they may ask for specific licenses for the higher ones - So definitely check the requirements with the rental company!
Yeeeeaaah! I totally agree, since I actually have been there I totally agree with all the places you recommend to visit. The island is very well kept and respected by everyone. However, I think if you don’t hire a car there’s not much public transport to take you for example from the north of the island to the South? That’s what I have noticed when I was there. Correct me if I’m wrong or it has changed :) see you in your next video :)
That is very true!! We definitely recommend people hire a car if they want to get to to know the island. There’s public transport but it’s not the best, and taxis are expensive! Thanks for watching 😍
Honestly the whole island is beautiful and whichever you choose you’ll find amazing beaches! But our top 3 are (in no particular order): - Cala Galdana: From there you can explore some of the most beautiful & famous beaches in the island (Mitjana, En turqueta, Macarella…) and the experience is so much better by boat on this side of the island. - Fornells: The Fornells Harbour is already gorgeous with lots to explore, but from there you can also go to Cavalleria and Pregonda and they are stunning. - Mahón: Best to explore the Mahón harbour which is one of the largest natural harbours in the world and very pretty. From there you can go to Illa d’en Colom which is gorgeous. But keep in mind that because the Mahon port is so long it takes time to get in & out.
Thank you! Glad you found it useful. It can be a bit difficult to find parking in Ciutadella in the evenings - The trick is definitely to try parking a bit further away from the main squares and looking for spaces in side streets, like May suggested 😊

It depends on the type of boat and time of the year but generally they start at 200€ per day
