I feel like this would be a good business to sell to hotels and restaurants, that kind of thing. Go for high end businesses that would buy nice decorations for Christmas. Not the single family route.
100% agree. I work at a hotel attached to a restaurant and they will absolutely pay $700 for a tree. However those are 9-12ft trees and his model at that price looked like maybe a 7ft tree. This would definitely be a great idea because it’s always a hassle to find a good time (or a willing person) to put it up and take it down
@@ivy117 Thanks man. I actually really appreciate someone chiming in who this business idea would be applicable. The Most Expensive fake Christmas Tree - $11 Million The tree that stood in the Emirates Palace luxury hotel was just over 40 feet tall. I had to see 🤑🤑🤑
I've always felt the family task of putting up a (fake or real) tree and ornaments is all part of a Christmas celebration. I'd buy these if I owned a retail store that needed assets for annual reuse.
That was exactly my thought within a minute of his pitch. Families want and can spend time decorating a tree most of the time, the market for trees that set up in a minute isn't that big in that space. On the other hand, corporations and businesses, that have to put up dozens or hundreds of these across their offices, don't want to waste too many man-hours on setting up decorations. For them, saving so much time with this would certainly be worth it.
In early November I went to the drift store and bought a 7ft tree for $25 . Took me 20 min to assemble with ornaments too and everything stores away easy in a bag
Target market is too narrow - most families have tighter budgets and/or enjoy the entire process of putting a tree up. At best, the more premium commercial establishments would buy this
$700 is not too much for the consumer who has disposable income. Let Wal-Mart sell sub $200 trees to people who can't afford the luxury -- but families who can afford it will spend up to $2000 for a good tree. And a LOT of families can afford that. Like way, way more families than TH-cam trolls can fathom.
in india you'd get a tree for 15 dollars easy. Translates to 1200 rupees. it is insane to hear how overpriced things are in the us. i know inflation's pretty bad for you guys but jesus. don't know why people live there anymore tbh.
Dollar general sells product they know isn't good and still try to pass it off to the consumer. I have begun taking photographic evidence of this if you want me to send you a couple disgusting pictures plus, they are being sued right now by the attorney general for marking prices one price on the shelf and when you get to the register they charge you a higher price. A quick Google search will back up these claims and more. That's the type of company you give your business too? And for that reason I'm out
He should create smaller trees, the problem with space and time is mostly for people with smaller space not only to display it but to box it the rest of the year. probably then it will be more appealing to a wider audience. But i’ve seen beautifull trees at costco for 150USD that are ready in a minute so speed should nt be the selling point
I was a Project Manager for his company, it is called MCL (Miami Christmas Lights) in Miami lakes, FL. He was an alright boss. They sell to Big Hotels, Hospitals, and Large upscale events, Like the Macy parade of such. He makes a very lucrative amount of money. Very well off.
One of the best parts about Christmas is spending your time with your family to build the Christmas tree Why would I wanna buy a Christmas tree where you can build it in 1 min
Y'all must have never been to any Christmas store.. they sell trees for $1200.. and those don't automatically stack together with lights that automatically light up. Dude has a great product
Idk I just saw this video and even in April I was searching for this tree so I could budget for it for Christmas. I think the tree is amazing and I think it wouldn’t take much to get everyone to want one
Literally a tree that’s about 7 to 10 feet or a little more me and my family purchase them for price range of 70 to like 100 bucks. I mean the price for these fake trees are high my issue is they aren’t wide enough there super skinny
ive bought my christmas tree with decorastions for total of 180 - hes around 1,50m big - fake, plastic, works fine couldnt imagine spending that much on a tree - however the comfort factor is there
Hate, putting up the tree is a fun experience. even in hotels, high-end business, usually staff will volunteer but obviously get paid to put up the tree, a fun thing to do with colleagues, I really hate this idea, well done for taking the fun out of christmas.
Seen it before. But these business owners need to work on keepin the same passion and energy once they complete the initial pitch. His energy dropped substantially once he completed the rehearsed lines and went to ad lib.
To channel manager: I would change the titles of the videos: they tells too much about what happen in the video, leaving the experience without surprise. I would suggest to create more catchy titles that do not tell what happens in the episode.
I wouldn't even want one of those skinny, scraggy trees even if someone gave me one, lol. Look more like poplar bushes. I like a full tree and you can find some beauties for $100 - $200 more or less.
I like the guy's enthusiasm but do have to question his business sense. Putting up $500,000 of your own money into a business is just crazy. You have to know that any business no matter how well thought out can fail and lots do. 99.9% of us can't afford 1/2 mill. loss.
It was already a pretty silly tradition, cutting down a tree and decorating its corpse for a few days. But the solution to not dealing with all that is-- not dealing with all that.
