Moalboal Turtle

We visited Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines, to see the sardine run and, if lucky, snorkel with turtles. We spent four nights and went snorkeling three mornings at 6:00 a.m. We were amazed at the sardine run, but our greatest thrill was swimming with the turtles, which we were lucky enough to experience every time we went out.
Most times, we had the turtles to ourselves, which made for a great experience and filming, as you will see from this video. If you ever have the opportunity to visit Moalboal, snorkel with the turtles, and see the sardine run, do it. It is incredible.
You can rent snorkels and flippers from one of the many shops. In the morning, just walk to the beach, put on your equipment, and swim out to the sardines. The Google map below will give you a reference, or you can just ask at one of the dive shops; they are very helpful.

It was a really cool experience. We had three great days there snorkeling with the turtles and sardines. We must have seen nearly twenty turtles.
