- London Mayor Sadiq Khan's claims about the positive impact of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) have been called into question by a leaked report from the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
The report suggests that the mayor manipulated public consultations, used fake health data, and paid universities to obtain favourable results for the ULEZ. Howard Cox, a London Mayoral candidate, criticized Khan as "dishonest" and called for a thorough investigation into ULEZ's impact.
ULEZ has faced criticism for its financial burden on motorists and its failure to consider the economic consequences for London.

I came from a country with 200 regional languages... crap was crap in all of them. Nobody would get angry. Khan is undoubtedly crap, and it has made me spend so much money on bicycles, trikes, electric, non-electric, just to learn what I (73 years old) can do to get around. I can't get rid of the car, no-one will give me a loan to buy another car...and in the last 15 years I have only averaged 1500 miles a year, 5 times less pollution per year than Khan. My car is about life and death... a prop for my health.
Why do we have an MOT Test that passes our cars for emissions, yet still doesn't comply for the Ulez, surely that's a big anomaly in the law, if ones car passes then it complies?

After 3 years from new, a vehicle has to have a MOT every year, where it has its exhaust emissions tested, if the vehicle passes this test and all the other road worthy test's in the MOT, then this vehicle can go anywhere in the UK or abroad. But not it's seems in Sadiq Khan's Big Brother London, unless it's owner pays £12.50 everyday, how can a vehicle pass it's MOT, but not be legal in London? 🤔😡

As you say with the cars getting more efficient and cleaner, same with safety, cars are so much safer than they used to be yet they are reducing speed limits. They to make cars more trouble than they're worth.
That's the whole idea. To make car journeys as expensive and frustrating as possible to make people more accepting of the 'authorities' ultimate aim to ban private car ownership altogether. Together with the absolutely fraudulent ULEZ charges operating in several cities (ostensibly with the purpose of reducing air pollution......... total BS) and increasing cost of owning a car in general, have you noticed how the incidence of roadworks and road closures have significantly increased, in addition to the lowering of speed limits, to deliberately, imo, make your car journeys take longer. All to the goal of banning people owning their own cars and vehicles.

TFL is for Transport only, not the man woman in their own property travelling. I don't charge or get paid to direct my property. Highway Act says only Transport "companies " pay to use the Public highways. Councils are not allowed to make monies from man woman "public " on the highways.
