I had the same issue. Instead of it being the starter, it was the built-in fuse on the positive cable that was bad in my case. 2012 mazda 3. Had to get 1 at the junk yard.
And uhh uh umm and i uhhh hopefully i ummm i went to umm the issue was i ummm went to uhhh the and i ummm trust this starter ummm 15 minutes later i ummm paid someone to umm fix my ummm starter.
Shouldn’t really advise people to clear codes. Your just messing up your mechanic when you eventually guck it up more. And now he or she has to start from no where and work down to the actual problem. 😂
