Thank you for making the effort to post this. One question to which I am unable to find a definitive answer: if Android (phone) and Laptop/PC are synched, does wiping Chrome cache/history simultaneously wipe that on your laptop/PC. Forgive me if that is a dumb question. i.e. is it possible to wipe one and not the other?

Cache isn’t listed as one of the data points that’s synced between Chrome on multiple devices, so I’m going to guess that when you clear Chrome’s cache on one device, it doesn’t clear on another. And a quick test of clearing the cache on my Android phone and checking my Mac seems to back that up. - Jason C, video host

Is there a way to delete cache for multiple apps at once

On my phone there seems to be no 'selected' option, but if I want to clear all the app cache, instead of individual apps, I go to 'storage and USB' or similar, in settings, instead.

@stephenderbyshire7849 I don't have "storage and usb". Where is it?

@@susanmcclelland539 @susanmcclelland539 For me, it is in main settings, scrolled down to between 'apps' and 'battery', where I enter it, and it says ' internal storage'. Around the top of the page, it says 'apps', and at the bottom, it says 'explore'. The next one up from 'explore' is 'cached data'. Enter that, and it says ' this will clear cached data for all apps, then OK.

Will I lose all photos by clearing photos cache ?

    • @stephenderbyshire7849

@@cathyrehill3876 No, but in most other apps, it has 'data' and 'cache', but, at least in my photo app, it only has 'cache' to clear. It would delete photos if you clear 'photo data' or delete the app without backing it up, so it's ok to clear photo cache.

One of the biggest lies I've ever heard in my life is the regurgitation of clearing your cache as a fix-all for anything. I have never once seen clearing your cache solve a single thing for me or anybody else, regardless of what they say. Until then I'm going to call it what it is, clickbait! It was probably restarting your phone what fixed your problems and not clearing your cache.

Clearing your cache is a waste of time. If it was the fix all that people claim it is then I would have seen it work at least once in my life and that is never happened. Restarting your device is the only quick fix that has ever worked for any type of computer device.
