I love that Badger did her LOL doll picture with pink braids. I think she found the exact shade of pink to match what she was getting in her own hair. The girls are so patient and mellow during the process. It's great you found someone who could come to your house to braid everyone's hair. I hadn't thought about itinerant braider as a job before, but can definitely see how a person could do that full-time. And she's very sweet and calm with the kids. The girls look fabulous!
I'm not trying to undermine, many excellent patient parents outhere. But things are much smoother when you have a supportive spouse and cooperative children. Good mental health in children is a real component.
Good morning to all. 🙂💙 They're hair style turned out great. The pink was just the right shade, like you stated. The retreat sounds like it will be a good time for you to relax as well as bond with other adoptive parents. Be well.
I just binged watched all your videos. Your family is beautiful and happy and fulfilled. Taking your niece in and loving her unconditionally is so selfless. Keep being the amazing mama bear you are!
Oh my I absolutely love your family you are all so wonderful you’re beautiful children show how much there loved you are the best parents I just love how much you all smile
Alot of us white girls like getting our hair braided too..and with fine hair having it braided for a while can actually cutt down on damage and split ends. They look beautiful. .
I didn't know that. My oldest is mixed but her hair is more like her dad's texture and fine,, maybe a 2C or 3A. I had her braided once it only lasted about 5 days and she was very disappointed that it took so long for "so little pizazz" 😂 This was 15 years ago though, bonnets weren't something I knew about. I probably could've saved her hair. Maybe I'll tell her she should try again.
I just watched a short with mom braiding her daughter naturally straight hair. Her hair looks similar to mine: fine but lots of it. I've had mine braided, sometimes without and with extentions. Some tips to make it easier and last longer are: having slightly dirty hair (day 2 or 3 after washing), use a dry shampoo, and a light pomade/waxy product towards the ends.
Your little ladies look so cute for Valentines day! Your daughters are lucky to have you for their wonderful mom. My hair is thin and whispy with enough wave that by the end of the school day, I looked pretty ragged. I don't think they knew much about curly/wavy hair back in 1972!
Love the braids! This process is fascinating to me because it is so different from what I know about hair. Would love to know more about products and why they are used and the water soaking of the braids, very interesting. Thanks
I work in an agency that serves predominantly black and brown youth that struggle with mental/behavioral anomalies and all of us staff of color had a group session about hair and we did the youths hair, with permission of course, the white staff and clinicians said the braids and beads makes the kids look like gang bangers. Hair is such a bonding experience for us and it was successful and this was what we were met with.
What a great event to have for youth at risk. Regardless of race learning to care for hair and having someone spend the time to learn what you like and do a style for you has to be very affirming. I'm sorry other members of staff were rude and didn't recognize the value of your efforts. So many kids suffer from a lack of genuine care from the adults in their lives. And having someone care enough to do your hair when you're young is HUGE. You did a good thing. Do it again no matter what the ignorant among you say.
I cannot believe someone who works with children in that capacity thinks of them that way. This is why I speak and teach about the thing that I do. They should have diversity and sensitivity training and potentially not work with them until they can see what they said and why its wrong.
My 18 year old niece has the same blow dryer brush, I actually wished her little sister had brought it with her when she wanted me to blow dry her hair out for her cornrows. Har hair is in between cow and badgers hair texture.
Greetings to the Wilde's family; your daughter's braids looks good. Hair dresser very professional. Enjoy watching your channel, very entertaining, informative with lots of interactions with your children. Beautiful, blessed and caring couple May the Lord continue to watch over you always 🙏 😇 🙏 e
Late to the show. I grew up in a multicultural house and while I didn't have fine hair like Tigers, I remember having our braid day as well! It brings such happy memories for me. While Tiger may not be able to have the same kind of braids due to damage potential, she shouldn't have any problems with loser braid styles such as dutch, fishtail or a french braid. (Just some thoughts, but absolutely do what you feel is best) Heck, she might even be interested in learning to braid, Lord knows that skill will be helpful later 😄
I teach my kids to find the beauty within themselves and find the beauty and appreciate beauty in others! Putting the type of braids you see here in tigers hair would cause damage and hair loss since her hair is so silky. You’d have to braid and grip extra tight to get the similar look, I don’t want her to damage her hair.
You gotta watch some of the Sunday morning videos. All 3 girls get fancy styles that coordinate, even if their hair textures don't lend themselves to exactly the same styles. Jeena makes sure the whole family is well put together. Even if they are 5 minutes late to church.😉
She’s never expressed wanting braids but she has talked to me about color! We tried hair color conditioning yesterday and it didn’t work as well as I hoped. It wasn’t as bright and as vibrant. So we are going to check out other non permanent dyes this week!
Oh. I was wondering the same thing. I am Blasian. When I was a child my hair was braided into corn rows but using only my own long hair and colorful rubber bands on the ends.@@jalisawilkins3900

Ok Badger is her father remade as a little girl but honestly Cow looks a lot like you in this video. She doesn't quite have Drew's face shape and its much more like yours. Although Panda is literally Drew, Penguin will take a few more years to really get an idea of who he will ultimately look like. I hope your 6th looks like you, you are so stunning, not that your kids aren't but as a mom who's daughter looks like her husband over her I want you to have a baby. that is your mini me
Exclude her, you mean like how I spent the day alone with my daughter and took her to the salon and we got her a haircut and style that was right for her? Is that how you mean?
I’m white and I braid hair (french, dutch, celtic rope braid, etc) but I never do more than two braids (with the exception of accent braids) because that was how I was taught. Moreover, white folks don’t have tge texture needed to keep the braids neat. And folks will think you’re appropriating culture.
@@piperhurtado4945 I agree, I think you many of guys have seen that I’ve have braided and put a lot of cute styles in Tigers hair just not the tight box braids that you would typically see in Black womens hair.
@@piperhurtado4945 It’s a kid and her mom is black, why involve kids in stuff like this? Not only black people have braids in their culture also egyptian etc. But I don’t wanna fight, I like the channel a lot.

They say things like "Neither of us have a job and we use this app to make 800 dollars a week!" And stuff and I got concerned. The girls did such a good job with getting their hair done, it can be a really long process and the hair braider was soooo sweet.
I love your family. The calmness both of you exude is so wonderful. Happy Sunday Wilder Fam!
Happy Sunday!

I agree with Cow!!! Towels definitely help stuff not getting wet! Her curls are very cute and fabulous 😍, but a girl has to experiment sometimes.
I just love this type of videos, your family is a breath of fresh air in the amist of what TH-cam has become, and the music is always on point

Another great piece focusing on specific children. They look so happy with their new hair and color choice! 💕

So adorable! Didn't Tiger want her hair braided? She would have looked just as adorable as Badger and Cow. Maybe she'll want to next time. 🥰🥰
They both look so cute with their braids in. Does Tiger ever feel left out that she doesn’t have braids?
Cow looks so much like her dad!
Wow! Even the cute gap in her front teeth is like her father's!

Adding that Tiger can take advantage of hair chalk. It works temporarily on light colors.
I think they have some conditioners that stays in For a few days too!

They look amazing. Out of curiosity how long did they take to braid? X
It was roughly 3 and a half hours per child. so Started at 8am and then ended around 3pm
Adorable! Might I ask what the water process at the end was for?
To seal the ends so the braid won’t unravel and it helps the ends look neat.

Hi
Why are their braids put I hot water after?
With synthetic hair you dip the ends in hot water so it doesn't unravel. Tames air from being frizzy as well
Your exactly right!
