Absolutely adore your videos! A strange calmness descends upon my soul every time I watch one of your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and your skills with us, you never disappoint 😊
You're leaving quite a legacy, as a crafty woodsman. Not to mention being an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Best wishes from the U.S.
I really admire your thirst for life and work...you are a truly free and independent man.Rare thing to have in our world.Your life seems really free and original. Greetings from a Greek !
Max, I don't have any ideas how to improve your pack but I just want to tell you, your videos always make the day a little easier. Please don't ever stop.
Max you knocked the pack frame out of the park. Thats the best design I have see. And I've used a lot of pack frames. Nice work thank you for the tutorial.
Some kind of cushioning for body-touching bracing section might make sense. Skin obviously with suitable stuffing material. Easily replaced when too worn.
A waist belt as well as lumbar pad would transfer a lot of the weight off the shoulders and to the hips, it would need to be padded, sit above the hip bones and be tight enough that the pack doesn’t really move around as you walk. It’s worth noting that any belt you tighten enough for a heavy load might pull or bend your actual pack frame so maybe build a whole new frame and test it out so you do not break your one and only frame in the woods.
This is one of the best channels there is...I appreciate the work ethic and meticulous attention to detail. He doesn't just make stuff, he makes excellent stuff! Great video as always :)
How valuable and just plain cool it is to have a place you can go and live comfortably off the grid if you ever need to. Especially one you've made and equipped with your own hands, Awesome !

As amazing as Max's inventions and techniques are, the depth of knowledge behind them is even more amazing to me. Anyone can cut a sapling in hopes of making a pack frame but he knows which species to harvest to make the best one. When you compare that to other "bushcraft" channels you will begin to see how little many of the others actually know. This deeper thinking and deeper knowledge shows in every video on this channel which is why it is so excellent!
Amazing ingenuity shown in most videos that go WAY outside the box. So simple, it's been long overlooked. I can't help but wonder if your parents had to live with daily creativity as you've shown. I find your videos very entertaining, and I appreciate the lengths to which you go to make things very clear and understood. I have a cabin in remote Wisconsin that I consider "off-grid"...but these videos make me feel more like it's a townhouse in Manhattan! Thanks so much Maxx!
Excellent content as always! I can totally picture making one of these in a more "trash to treasure" sort of way, using old bed slats and light metal tubing that is found in so many appliances, very inspirationnal!
I really like you. I dont watch anyones stuff as quickly as yours. Here in Texas USA, I see the notification you made something new, I click. You love nature, care for frogs and fish, plant trees. You are the Bob Ross of the wilderness.
It would be cool to see something like this in Texas! I wonder how you would change or modify things as there’s different wildlife and considerations because of the different climate?
Obligatory algorithm comment because this is an incredible channel and deserves far more subscribers. On second thought, I want to tell you that I love your videos, you make any time spent watching them better. I'm pretty sure we are on a similar latitude because here in Canada the weather and the woods look not just similar but darn near identical. Thank you.
After I watch your videos I always wish I had the forests around me like you do. You are one lucky man to be able to go deep in the forest and enjoy life. Keep up the great videos.
I am still grateful that I've discovered you and your channel. As a person who has worked a lot with youth and children I wonder if you would let participate other human beings in your work. Alas, I wouldn't show anyone your little paradise there, except they have proven worthy over yeras, but still ... . You transport so much values in your work and you seem to be a very peaceful and conscientious person. Learned and educated as well. It would be a benefit for society if you would impart some of your skills directly and with it your values/ (hypothesized) characteristics. God bless.

Advoko I look forward to every video you post, and so far all of them have been worth the wait! The thing that I will always admire the most about you has to be the fact that you have planted trees along your entire journey, and have used as many downed trees as you could for all of your projects. I hope you continue to upload videos because I know I'm not the only one who enjoys them this much!
What I love about you is that you don't run out and buy everything you need. Most people would just go out and buy a state-of-the-art backpack with a frame. You make your own, and it doesn't stop with the pack frame. You make your own tools, kayaks, and so much more. Outstanding channel! I must admit, I am quite curious as to what you're defending against with that bow?
Thank you for the video, one day, I want to own my own plot of land in the woods! To improve your pack frame, you could consider making a hip belt. In well-designed hiking backpacks, hip belts carry most of the load, offloading your shoulders and making it way more comfortable. Furthermore, you could consider padding on the contact points with your back to spread the load even further. Maybe leather cushions filled with sawdust or straw could do the trick? My friends and I always look forward to watching your uploads!
Maxie, you are a genius. There is Bushcraft and there is Genius, you and combine both. Thank you.
After seeing you video of making the wire clamp tool, I decided to make my own from some scrap steel that I had laying around. It was the first time that I had fired up my forge in almost a year, and had a lot of fun making it. Thank you for the inspiration.
