This is a professional diver watch used by workers undersea, the crown protection is a very safe feature, it protecteds from rocks, metalstructures, welder and tools hiting on the watch. The watch is not made to look cool on the beach. It´s made for real men, and thats how this watch looks like, rough, robust and undesdructible. The dodecagon, is not a design gadged, this is a real nut who screws and presses down the glas, this is old style because there´s no helium valve. To avoid the glas get popout on the surface.
Looks great in particular you get a unique case for a low price. I dont like the bicolor dail. I would have loved if they would have implemented a sunblasted blue dail. Somehow the dail including bezel is too busy. I am also concerned about the lock to break easily after some years. So after rethinking, the watch feels like "just another Steinhart/C.Ward/Borealis..."
Fun with Turtles From firsthand experience with this and others you have mentioned, it’s definitely a higher tier watch than those. Especially C.Ward. Edox has a much richer heritage than those brands. If you’ve ever seen an exploded view of the Hydro Sub (there are photos out there of 3D renderings), you would see that it was engineered to a high level. I would take one of these 10/10 over a run of the mill Christopher Ward.
I see! Thanks for the clarification. I like watch videos and more into watches. I'm just starting to chain watch your channel, great stuff so far! Only asking about clocks because I bought an old mantle clock at the flea market for a tenner, and I thought I would "fix it up", LOL. More of a futile effort in reality though! Cheers.
i liked the video but not the watch. take that big bit of awfulness off the side of it and it'd be fine. call me old fashioned if you must but it does nothing for me. reminded me of the Seiko giugiaro which is also gruesome. I accept that obviously personal taste is entirely subjective.
Nice review, I have been open to getting an Edox for a while, I like the dial on this but am undecided on the lock system.
Original design, really nice looking and a little out of the box. I LIKE!!!
i like the intro with the gun noise

I never should have sold this watch. Not a watch like it, this exact one. Extreme sellers remorse
I happen to have one BNIB for sale!
This watch is cool. Don´t buy it if you want to sell it. Otherwise it´s a quality watch for a reasonable price. Greetings from #131 of 515
Patrick, just to let you know, they do have the quartz version of this watch.
These guys are more into each other than watches.
8:21 cut to the chase. Your welcome.
New viewer here; will you do clock videos also? Just asking because of the name.

Why put those numbers on the side? It belongs on the case back
Tell me you want a panerai without telling me you want a panerai
Overall, this is a great watch, but that horrendous lock just ruins it for me. Maybe I'm too conservative for this :)
They just ruined a beautiful watch with that crown lock shit .
No power reserve on mine junk
