Really cool that you guys like to ride fast, but also don't have a problem going out and exploring, riding new stuff, looking for new lines etc and can just chill and enjoy the trail, unlike a lot these days who just ride the same trails over and over, chasing strava koms.
I never knew these trails existed by Merrit, makes me want to bring my bike next time I go through or go for the day. Love watching your trail riding and your friends techy moves haha
This lap looks closer to what we rode last year. Fun trail, you definitely rode more of it than we did. Hopefully you sampled to excellent food and donuts at the Kekuli Cafe in town. Simply the best donut I have ever had. That venison bannock sandwich was also great
Not a place you want to take a tumble. The rock looks volcanic up there just waiting to cheese grater you. Good to see you guys really putting it together. I think theyre hard to maintain with the smaller riding community there. Samosas are great at the info xenter too. Knee pad giveaway for 10k subs?😂
As you were going into the deep grass I was like „fuck, i wonder if there are as many ticks as in Germany“ and 2 seconds later you’re talking about those bastards. I would have checked myself several times 😌
man, why is your forest such a mess of blow-down? Have they cut t prime stuff enabling wind to get in amongst it? another class production; like t interrupted pace to look at stuff. Used to whitewater paddle a lot/ tech stuff mtb is a lot like inspecting unknown grade 4 water...wise! thumbs-up from NZ
That overgrown dead tree area is scary to see during fire season 😅 don’t know how bad your fire season is in bc but I’m sure in California that whole area would be gone lol
Hey Dale, nice trail, enjoyed watching it, once I stopped it regularly and let it cache :-\ Same thing again 1080p and I need to cache, connection at full DL speed, where I never have trouble at 1080p watching anyone else once I'm getting full DL, can even watch sped up, but yours, always, these days. I'm guessing that you're not using a lot of compression on these and somehow YT isn't getting a chance to compress them or has relaxed their aggressiveness on compressing videos to save storage size. Might be why your vids seem to be just that bit "better" than most others maybe, but never had trouble before :-\ Think maybe you've figured out how to get better quality files than most, because I finally gave up 2/3 way through and switched to 720p and that behaved and looked more like most 1080p.
Can't say I blame you, your vids definitely have that little something extra that a lot of others don't, just that bit crisper and I always could never figure it out, but guess we know. Curious what software you use to edit and what encoding to you output at/to?
Looks like somebody put in a lot of effort to clear the path from all those fallen trees. We have one fallen tree on the most popular trail in the area but we are not allowed to cut it without approval and the authorities are not responding to our request. This in a country where in a year were cut 18 millions cubic meter legally and another 20 illegally :(
@@DaleStone only problem being you cannot understand anything about the trail 😂 I guess I’ll take my time to watch it in 1440p on a good internet day, it’s worth it!
If this was California they would use your down tree footage to turn it into a political debate about sweeping the forest to prevent wildfire lol. Laughing emoji. We have areas that look like that in the Sierras and San Bernardino Mountains.
Seriously holy sh**, you really got to talk to the “youtube team” about the magicgate to your video... took me over a minute and probably closing over 2 dozens other videos it kept trying to send me to... seriously deters me from wanting to watch the content, you should seriously get them to fix that...
@@DaleStone no that’s my whole point... I love this perspective; the pov but also getting to watch ddangerous ddave's technique. Gorgeous, wild place!

Unreals. Amazing what the bikes can do in the right hands.
Using Comic Sans to roast your own dad joke is so meta!
7:30 “Let’s get out of here” yeah I’m right there with you, half fallen trees 🌲 I’d leave quick too!

Im not a mountainbiker myself but for Some reason this is cozy to watch

That sounds delicious, noted for future trips!
Your videos have an addictive quality to them and I’m not sure why!
Let me know when you know haha. 👀📈
Damn, with trails that gnarly, you must go through a set of brake pads every month! Sick riding!
Pretty close, every two!

That is a hilarious idea... And riding shorts. 😅
Incredible footage Dale.
Pretty cool spot. Very unique but beautiful.
3:07 looks really cool
If only I could tell what was at that timestamp. ☹️

Oh, to have the freedom (read: skill) to explore like that! And who the heck took the time to cut through all that blow down?!
Cleaning this mountain could be a full time job, we were SUPER grateful! 😊
Iron mountain is such a rowdy time!
Such awesome terrain
Nice trail, nice ride, nice gloves
Man, looks awesome! I gotta get to Merritt 👍
That is a sweet trail 🤟😳🤙nice riding my friend 👍

This trail reminds me of yellowknife!
iron mountain is raw! your commentating is so smooth even while riding. ever been up to williams lake?
Never! Any noteworthy jank/tech?
@@DaleStone slabs are few but the tech comes from steepness. if u like wooden features and hand built single track you’ll love it.

Area right close to this is now engulfed in flames, sadly enough.
Your mate became one with his bike.
Watching
Do you recommend 60fps over 30? I love your quality and I know u use 60fps but all tutorials on gopro say to you 30, should I use 60??
I only upload what I like to watch, and right now that is 60. 🙂
@@DaleStone I think many people love it too, and I mean I don’t mind 30 it’s just basic but 60 is so smoother and higher quality and I love it
what gopro do you use?
8 black
What bell do you use?
Spurcycle Compact
@@DaleStone thanks!
Chin mount or visor?
Chinny chin chin.
you should really use a 360 cam to accurately portray the steepness especially since your channel is based on riding steep trails
I've always been interested in trying one, but I've gotta save money! 😅
wild nature brrr :)
BXR... is that a trail name or were you a Halo player back in the day? 🤔
Halo of course! Glad someone got that haha. Trail name was Three Shot Willow. 🙂
Just think what one single spark could do... this is literally a giant tinderbox
Plastic pedals only!

60fps definitely would hurt the bitrate TH-cam has to deliver on, but sadly it's part of "The Brand™" now. 🙃
