I was amazed how Ozempic stopped the food noise literally overnight. It does come back sometimes, though, so I am happy you addressed this and gave us some tips on how to mitigate it.
Just started Wegovy. It's def quieted it down some. I don't know if it's the placebo effect or not. My total bro-science take on it is it's sugar. Sugar highjacks our brains and it then all bets are off.
I’ve had this since I was a child along with regular hunger pains and no satiety. I honestly thought everyone had it and I just had no willpower. It is so enlightening to find this out. Thank you!!
This is the story of my life! Add in low blood sugar that makes me have to eat and it’s a viscous cycle. I work hard to balance it all and yet that food noise still gets me.
I am quite good at eating mindfully and intuitively when life is quiet and calm. I listen to the food chatter, decipher the many ideas it has, and pick something that really, deeply appeals to me. What's interesting is that it tends to be so-called "good" foods most of the time. It quiets the chatter for a fair few hours after I eat the way my body is asking me to. The chatter gets crazier when I'm tired, stressed, busy, down... which can be often. It's so NICE when it's quiet. I can get on with the job of enjoying my life! I think this is how naturally thin people live. 😂
Not "almost" but definite intrusive chatter! So far Rybelsus 7mg. and just recently 14 mg. has not given me any relief. Been on it for 1.5 years for blood sugar control. It does help there but constant food noise still exists.
This is literally priceless information. I have suffered with this food noise for years and it caused me to have pretty bad eating disorders. This food noise has ruined so much for me.
In my case I had severe hunger and being hungry the whole time and having no satiety, during a healthy meal plan the hunger where even more severe because the appropriate portions weren’t enough for me and while being severely hungry feeling starvation I was always waiting for the next meal and the meals never made me feel full. I had to eat big amounts of food to feel full and had satiety for longer, even healthy food but the calorie intake was higher of what i needed even I always went to the gym as nowadays it didn’t help much with weight management and also PMS made my hunger even worst literally starving even more severe and was even harder. I had vertical sleeve gastrectomy and during the PMS I use semaglutide for 10 days only. Self control and appetite control it is “normal” now unless I am on my PMS period when I have to use semaglutide 😢 I have vertical sleeve gastrectomy and what I do it’s having small meals 5 times per day and 2 light snacks, no more of 180cal each one, clean food and healthy options with low calories and I watch to be on 1200cal per day. That is how I manage to control of hunger and cravings and it is not really easy. I count the calories and the macros.
So i assume regular people don't experience food noise? Haha that's funny. I was trying to tell hubby that ozempic helps with food noise, and he probably doesn't know what that is.
They do! Just might not be as strong or prominent. Males are interesting in this regard - what I find is men often arent dieting or as preoccupied with body/staying on a diet as women. Therefore don't spend as much time thinking about food.
Great video!!! This is a real problem for me, specially in the morning, I can eat half of my calorie intake of my day just in the morning hrs. I do eat high in protein, but it is just so difficult for me to control these cravings at that time of the day. My PCP recommended Bupropion SR. What are your thoughts about this medication for reducing food cravings? Thanks!!
I would keep pumping that protein. Bupropion might help but you'll run into the same issue if you don't keep optimizing your protein intake. 1g per 1lb s of body weight
Wellbutrin actually increased my appetite as do any other stimulants like caffeine and dark chocolate. L theanine to help calm my over active brain and nervous system help so much more. Morning is my favorite time to eat and I do higher protein too. Keeping my bloodsugar stable also helps.
I quit it a week ago but I have vertical sleeve gastrectomy and what I do it’s having small meals 5 times per day and 2 light snacks, no more of 180cal each one, clean food and healthy options with low calories and I watch to be on 1200cal per day. I've begun to get alittle flustered with semaglutide.taking 25...and does not curb my appetite much Need to lose 50 to.60 pounds...But it's not curbing my hunger..oh mercy i.dont understand all..Been on semaglutide for 2 months 😢😭
I mean they can be entirely stand alone conditions. But at the same time food noise could lead to anxiety. Not so much vice versa. It's more I'm anxious and stressed. Suddenly I'm eating to self soothe. Vs I am anxious/stressed. O now I have food noise. Then I'm eating. If they anxiety is driven by something else that is what you will be ruminating on vs thinking about food. Overall I'd have to sit down and hear the individuals story.

Thanks for sharing … I’ve been learning so much … I’m also very familiar with food noise

It hasn’t done that for me :(

OMG you are spot on!
I have had this all my life. Good to know it's not just lack of willpower. Thank you
If it was willpower you wouldn't have a weight problem.

.25 is a very low dose.
Keep following up with your doctor!
What are your thoughts on link between depression, anxiety, eating disorders and the food noise?

Carnivore and Keto diet relieves it after about 2 or 3 days 🙏Of course it comes back if you go off plan...
