Shipping that brick has to be costly! Did you try the fix trick? Put the PS5 in the freezer for 24 hours, next take it out and put it directly into the microwave for 3 minutes. Next take it outside and hit it with a baseball bat 7 times "not 8" while playing Death Metal or Gantsa rap. Next say at least 5 swear words and take it to the trash.
If Sony fails to fix it, I was gonna fill it with candy and use it as a pinata. With a few Solid hits, maybe the hardware will unjam and my PS5 will start working again......lol. Sony is paging for all shipping costs. So that's nice.

Mine isn't bricked per say. But I just got it a week and a half ago and worked fine for that for that first week and then the wifi quit working.(still worked with LAN, but I have to have to connected with wifi because of my home layout) After 5 calls to playstation and 1 to at&t it could not be fixed. Most likely the internal wifi adapter. Now I have to see if target will exchange it, most likely not because of availability. Then I have to send it in. So bummed!

Obviously it sucks that this happened to your kiddo's PS5, but I'm happy that Sony is taking care of it. I got my PS2 at launch and it was actually a couple years out when it stopped reading the blue discs but I contacted them and Sony took care of me too, free of charge. I've had a good history with their customer service and I'm glad that continues on.

First time this happened to me was with my first month with it had a 22 day streama thon now a year later went to the gym came back same situation but today i didnt turn it on
his son obviously broke the PS5 it stinks that other people have to wait to get a PS5 well you have 2 and you broke one and if that wasn't bad enough other people have to wait while you get your console factory reset because you broke your own system.
My son didn't break his PS5. It stopped turning on because the power button got stuck. He spent his own $500 that he saved up for a year to buy his very own system. I was proud of him for doing that. He takes care of his games and systems. He never leves a game in his console and every game goes back in his case. His PS5 was unfortunately a Lemon when it comes down to it. He pre ordered it months before it was released. People have to wait because they didn't take initiative like my 10 year old. It's not his fault his PS5 was bad.
@@TelesplashGaming no it's definitely your son's fault you admitted it I work for an electronic repair company never had that issue before but I know kids routinely break their video game equipment and are not truthful with their parents and recovery mode sometimes can be tricky if you do not know how to get out of it. that happened on the PS3 and the PS4. simpletons would send in their console all the time because they did something to it. people with legitimate repairs had to wait because customers who didn't know how to operate their equipment or they mistreated it. but companies know people like you don't know what they're doing so they just tell them to send it back clogging up the whole system for people with legitimate repair. guaranteed all they did to your system was factory reset it hope they didn't send you another system because that. but they probably did because they didn't have enough help to actually look at that systems. and by the way if your power button was actually stuck and wouldn't have turned on or it would have turned on or off again.
@@bidoof8361 Well. I can tell you don't have a PS5 or haven't actually touched one. It's time for a lesson I guess. The PS5 button isn't a true button in terms of classic press this to make a contact point which sends a signal to the device and turns it on or off. With those, the button can actually be stuck at a contact point and keep the actual relays from doing what they are supposed to do. The PS5 power button doesn't use this technology. So even though the button can be pressed and it clicks, it's not actually creating a contact that has a true relay........but ya, I probably don't know what I'm talking about...........Anyways, they did send me a brand new PS5 and coincidentally my son hasn't had a single issue since. Nor has he broken his laptop, Nintendo Switch, or PS4. But keep blaming simpletons like myself. Later dork

I was reading some INFO the other day saying do not put PS4 physical disc into your PS5 because it might basically break IDK I did buy 3 PS4 games the other day because I can't get them for my PlayStation 5 I've not opened them up yet and played them on my 5 I'm going to either play them on my 4 or wait and get some more news on this. I bought my PlayStation 5 all most a month ago in 2022 whatever that's worth and the receipt makes things easier but as long as U still have the original PS5 box your good. I don't remember because it's been years since I've touched the PlayStation 4 that Final Fantasy 15 and Final Fantasy 7 remake if I remember correctly made you take off the standard black faceplate and put on the special faceplate for the console but I think if you tap the PlayStation button on the controller you can eject the disc from there. Like I said it's been years since I've touched that PlayStation 4 and I don't know if the PlayStation 5 can do that with ejecting discs and turning on the PlayStation 5 with the PlayStation button on the controller because I don't have one and doing what Rich from ReviewTechUSA keep telling us to do hold out for a little bit longer and wait until checkout security gets better to secure one. And you always gotta get the extended warranty in case the next Xbox gets the red ring and one of my grandfathers used to say to be sure to be sure because if the problem happens down the line then we're good and we got the warranty to cover the problem for the thing that broke down the line

Obviously it sucks that this happened to your kiddo's PS5, but I'm happy that Sony is taking care of it.
I got my PS2 at launch and it was actually a couple years out when it stopped reading the blue discs but I contacted them and Sony took care of me too, free of charge. I've had a good history with their customer service and I'm glad that continues on.
Yes. I've heard Nintendo can be a bit of a pain, but Sony has been nothing but perfect for a lot of people. I just hope the turnaround time is good.

Is all your save data in the cloud? I don't think I've had a console malfunction within the first year, sounds like a little bit of bad luck.
Most of the save data is. So it shouldn't be a big deal. Just kind of disappointing

I bought a PS5 Digital after updating. it doesn’t start. Blue light keeps blinking. I tried to go into safe mode it starts after 10-15 mins of blue light blinking but does nothing after selecting option 7. He was able to get it working again Techwizo🤏
i put my ps5 into rest mode as always then suddenly i turned it on. the blue light came on and almost imediatly it turned off and i cant turn it on to reset it. Tecwizo fixed it thanks

Needing to get ahold of Sony, ps5 was destroyed by lightening. Weird thing is, Xbox was plugged into the same power bar an is perfectly fine. How to I reach Sony? I found nothing but a bunch of reboot info an crap, just need to talk with someone

his son obviously broke the PS5 it stinks that other people have to wait to get a PS5 well you have 2 and you broke one and if that wasn't bad enough other people have to wait while you get your console factory reset because you broke your own system.
My son didn't break his PS5. It stopped turning on because the power button got stuck. He spent his own $500 that he saved up for a year to buy his very own system. I was proud of him for doing that. He takes care of his games and systems. He never leves a game in his console and every game goes back in his case. His PS5 was unfortunately a Lemon when it comes down to it. He pre ordered it months before it was released. People have to wait because they didn't take initiative like my 10 year old. It's not his fault his PS5 was bad.
@@TelesplashGaming no it's definitely your son's fault you admitted it I work for an electronic repair company never had that issue before but I know kids routinely break their video game equipment and are not truthful with their parents and recovery mode sometimes can be tricky if you do not know how to get out of it. that happened on the PS3 and the PS4. simpletons would send in their console all the time because they did something to it. people with legitimate repairs had to wait because customers who didn't know how to operate their equipment or they mistreated it. but companies know people like you don't know what they're doing so they just tell them to send it back clogging up the whole system for people with legitimate repair. guaranteed all they did to your system was factory reset it hope they didn't send you another system because that. but they probably did because they didn't have enough help to actually look at that systems. and by the way if your power button was actually stuck and wouldn't have turned on or it would have turned on or off again.
@@bidoof8361 Well. I can tell you don't have a PS5 or haven't actually touched one. It's time for a lesson I guess. The PS5 button isn't a true button in terms of classic press this to make a contact point which sends a signal to the device and turns it on or off. With those, the button can actually be stuck at a contact point and keep the actual relays from doing what they are supposed to do. The PS5 power button doesn't use this technology. So even though the button can be pressed and it clicks, it's not actually creating a contact that has a true relay........but ya, I probably don't know what I'm talking about...........Anyways, they did send me a brand new PS5 and coincidentally my son hasn't had a single issue since. Nor has he broken his laptop, Nintendo Switch, or PS4. But keep blaming simpletons like myself. Later dork

@@God_Body45 they kept the one I sent them and sent me out another one, if I remember correctly I got it back in 4-5 days after they received mine. The process wasn’t as terrible as I expected but still sucks to send out a new console for repair that you’re excited to play

I was reading some INFO the other day saying do not put PS4 physical disc into your PS5 because it might basically break IDK I did buy 3 PS4 games the other day because I can't get them for my PlayStation 5 I've not opened them up yet and played them on my 5 I'm going to either play them on my 4 or wait and get some more news on this. I bought my PlayStation 5 all most a month ago in 2022 whatever that's worth and the receipt makes things easier but as long as U still have the original PS5 box your good. The box's will show where it was bought at and the date it was bought on ,mine was a bundle at GameStop last month.

Damn dude. That blows. I was able to get mine fixed by Sony, but it's really annoying it had to even happen.
I don't remember because it's been years since I've touched the PlayStation 4 that Final Fantasy 15 and Final Fantasy 7 remake if I remember correctly made you take off the standard black faceplate and put on the special faceplate for the console but I think if you tap the PlayStation button on the controller you can eject the disc from there. Like I said it's been years since I've touched that PlayStation 4 and I don't know if the PlayStation 5 can do that with ejecting discs and turning on the PlayStation 5 with the PlayStation button on the controller because I don't have one and doing what Rich from ReviewTechUSA keep telling us to do hold out for a little bit longer and wait until checkout security gets better to secure one. And you always gotta get the extended warranty in case the next Xbox gets the red ring and one of my grandfathers used to say to be sure to be sure because if the problem happens down the line then we're good and we got the warranty to cover the problem for the thing that broke down the line
