Been looking for some help with this projector, just bought one, but the manual doesn't really explain what the aux port is used for, is it an aux in to feed info to the projector or an aux out for something like a wired speaker?? If it is aux out, what requirements would a speaker need to work with the projector?
Any suggestion for optical digital zoom this one is distance based i need atleast 150 inch but distance between 2 walls is less??

I bought apollo p40 9 months ago and I'm glad I sell it because there were so many picture problem like the brightness as you cant go big and the brightness is no way near to 700 ansilumens it near to 500 which affects the colors and overall picture. I suggest to you invest more in dlp 3lcd or laser if you wan a true cinema experience. my xbxs didn't work in 4k as this projector it told me not support it. Can you do an xgimi mogo 2 (the non-pro) vs this ultimea apollo p40... with emphasis on measuring actual ANSI lumens for both. I don't believe what manufacturers report... thank you
I wonder If this projector beat my Wewatch v51 Pro in terms of picture. When I watch 4k video sample of animals on Wewatch, it looks spectacular at times. Anyway I will try this one cause Wewatch has very loud fan noise and pretty big input lag for gaming...

Hi I just bought one because of your video, the part when you said how is this possible it should be worth £1000 is the bit that sold it for me, hopefully its as good as it says it is.
It is amazing actually.. picked it up for $150 on ebay.. only issue is that it doesn't have physical buttons.
I was considering getting the xgimi but this one honestly looks like a better deal.

brightness is trribule when you go more than 75 inch
Chigz quick question bud, if you plug the shield into the hdmi, will it have to connect to WiFi or can it still run off ethernet cable using this projector?
The shield would need it’s own internet connection to function. Unfortunately it cannot borrow the ethernet from the main projector.

Can't wait till we start to see SUPER CHEAP (but good quality) ULTRA SHORT THROW PROJECTORS. For those of us that really just want one for fun and not use it as our main "TV".
I got a viewsonic 4K 3200 lumen projector. Its bright. Colorful like a laser projector at 1/4. Or more of the price of 2000-3000 short throw projector in got it last year on black friday. Crazy as picture and for gaming . Movies
The problem with that is the glass. The electronics are easy to scale to low prices. Different story with glass

Could you elaborate on the gaming experience? What about latency?
For the casual gamer you will struggle to notice any input lag. I found it very good for gaming, enjoyable experience. But the hardcore gamers who are used to 1ms response time on their monitors will probably not like the experience on a projector. To match your 1ms monitor you need to spend maybe 4 to 5 times more money. At this price point don’t expect a gaming projector performance.

I noticed a lot of lag to the point i find it unplayable. What firmware version were you on@@ChigzTech ?
This projector is awesome for movies because using an AV receiver i can match the audio to the video delay but for gaming it is a NO!

How far back does the projector have to be?
The ideal distance. For example if your screen is 75 inches distance away 14 ft 10 inches. Did you see what I did there? Again, if your screen is 55inches. Distance away should be 10ft 10inches
Only flaw im having with this is that this projector for some reason tends to get black dirty spots. Hard to reach and clean .

Tried a Wimius P63 which lost focus on one side when adjusting keystone.

Also, my mates and I would like to play 4 player Mario Kart - has anyone had any problems with this? Amazon reviews are mixed - a reviewer from Germany said on 10 April 2023: "everything went smoothly" for Mario Kart, but others say they don't recommend it for gaming. I'm not a competitive gamer but I don't want casual play with friends/on my own to be ruined. Connecting my switch to a friend's new TV caused some input problems in Zelda which I'd like to avoid (thankfully no problems in Mario Kart though). I'd love to hear about what you've all experienced - any feedback would be much appreciated!

How do you get to 4k my firestick, pc are 4K but the PS5 is still 1080p
How is it possible for 250$? Simply--there are 250-350$ 1080p portable projectors with a battery and 400-500+ ANSI lumens. So now I don't think it should cost more than 170-200$ New.
YMMV...but my Apollo P40 quit after just six months...no light from the lens. Totally unacceptable.
I wish it was 3 things:
1 - 4K native and I'd be happy to pay a bit more for that.
2 - Higher ANSI Lumens - say 1000
3 - Short throw projector

@@ChigzTech Looking at similar ones, probably around £400-£500 with higher ANSI lumens thrown in (3000) - I'd still pay for that cos that's better than more known brands that charge £1k+ for same.
Gaming on any of these budget projectors sucks stinky poopy. Input delay makes any timing based games unplayable. 8:12 is a perfect example how he couldn't even time the shot correctly. Either buy it for movies or purely cinematic games.
Not an issue for casual gamers. Of course you get what you pay for.
@@ChigzTechI will say the fact it actually accepts the 4K signal is a surprise. Most of the cheap projectors that say "4K support" don't actually do this. Now even more complicated to tell which ones are lying 🤦♂️
