I love how empty and desperate these first few songs sound. Like they're each trying to warn the main character of the story that there's something horrible spurring them into battle that they can't hope to resist for very long. And when the battle ends there's no triumphant victory... just desolation as the song winds down and you're left wondering what's going on.
