It's a delight to see some things have never changed all these years later in these films. I finally watched this tonight. Only took me 37 years. Lol. I was 12 years old when it was released.
YES!!! Thank you. I finally found someone that gave this movie the respect it needed. I absolutely love filming location videos. You absolutely nailed it my friend. Perfection 👍🏻
Really enjoyed this one and I rented the movie last night after watching. I started high school in 1981 so 80's is my generation. Thank you for what you do.
This is definitely one of the best filming locations I've ever seen from a TH-camr. You're really amazing at this! Up there with Sean Clark & the OG Herve Attia! But that is my humble opinion. ❤️❤️❤️
The amount of research and effort you and your family put in to these videos for us to enjoy are amazing. Felt a bit down tonight and watching this made me feel better again. One day I’ll be a Patreon. That’s for sure. Big hugs from Sweden.
Hi Kurt,, Glad you found the movie 🎥🍿 filming of can't find me love 💕 in Tucson Arizona. There are still many areas of the movie around inside and out.The Mall interior was redesigned at the top of the windows and ceilings the columns are still the same today.. The school's 🏫 Doors were Red in the movie now there Tan.. Great 👍 Job on telling the story of the Movie 🎥 and the Areas..✌️ peace..
Great video Kurt! This movie brought back so many memories to my wife and me. When I met my wife, 40 years ago, she was exactly like "Cindy", the popular one in school. I was exactly like "Ronald", introverted and shy. My wife changed me like "Cindy" did to "Ronald" in this movie, changing my style of dress and my hair. The only difference from "Ronald" and I, is that I did not dump my wife! She is the love of my life. We have this movie on the original VHS format and also DVD! Also, a thank you to our son, Anthony, for alerting me to this new video, of "Can't buy me love", from "Kurt" 80s Life!
Re commenting because that last comment was insane for auto spell. Thank you for going to Tucson and doing this movie! We have been waiting some time now. It’s bitter sweet since the actress Amanda Peterson (Cindy) is no longer with us. Like we had mentioned before you are the filming location top dog detective! I’m sure LAPD could have used you however , we are happy to have you here. Thanks for all of your hard work for us to enjoy. P.S. The part when you’re reciting Cindy’s poem to your wife was priceless! 😂💙
I, too, LOVED this film and was completely smitten with Amanda Peterson. I live in Colorado now, and Amanda lived in Greeley...about an hour away...at the time of her death. From time to time over the years I'd found and posted on various online forums and message boards where people discussed Can't Buy Me Love, and I always said that Amanda Peterson was almost certainly just like the character of Cindy Mancini in terms of kindness and having a big heart for the underdogs of the world. When I read about her many problems with the law, bad relationships, and drug abuse (all three intertwined), I was always supportive of her. Well, after she died I read that she followed those online conversations and very much appreciated kind words from her fans. I can't articulate how much I regret not having taking another step to two toward actually trying to help her. Rest in peace, Amanda. You left behind many broken hearts....
Tic-Tac-Tile! Nicely done Kurt! This movie changed my life and has the heart of a lion. Best “Slow Clap” out of any 80’s movie. 👏 I rented this the day it came out on VHS. I had a huge crush on the late great Amanda Peterson. Amazing cameos by Max Perlich, (as always), Courtney Gains, Gerardo, Seth Green and Ami Dolenz. Holding out for a Blu Ray release, but the music rights will delay that indefinitely. Wonderful video as always. The Protesters that made it into the shot is heart attack funny. Loved the Crucial family cameo! You’re an awesome Detective! Thank you! ❤️✌️🕶⭐️
@@espritmike Absolutely Mike G! The slow clap in “Lucas” was slow and in control. Not like the slow clap in “Hoosiers” where it’s starts slow, but goes straight to 11. Gene Hackman was riling up the team but taking away from the slow clap.
Just a great classic movie. I rented this on VHS a ton of times when I was a teenager! Great times back then. Today the world just sucks. Glad I can go back in time for a few minutes to relive this.
Absolutely nailed it! Not sure if true, but a Tucson native once told me that was pretty much the ONLY neighborhood in the entire city with actual lawns, which just makes the very notion of Ronald's part-time job that much more ridiculous. Also, I wonder if it was some sort of Easter egg or just a coincidence, but I couldn't help but notice that there were (at least) two separate instances in the movie of moms busting their sons (@6:34, @8:50). Mad props to you on this one, Kurt!!!
I know this movie as well as you - minus the filming locations. Fabulous job. I think the best “Filming locations “ I’ve ever seen. Being an AZ native I really appreciated it
As so many of you here, I discovered Patrick Dempsey and Amanda Peterson through this movie. I was living in Europe at the time, and I saw the trailer in a movie theater. Not sure if it was Adventures in Babysitting? Anyhow, I went back to the same cinema to see Can't buy me love, and returned for some more encores. As it was Europe, getting a VHS of the movie was complicated but I eventually managed. Later on, I found an NTSC DVD sold in my country. I had to find a DVD players compatible too. I own the movie too today. So I can stream it whenever. I fell in love with Amanda Peterson at first sight and was disappointed that she had stopped acting. Sad that she also disappeared in tragic circumstances. Watching Can't buy me love today takes an even ore special meaning...
I absolutely loved this movie and it may be one of my favorite 80s movies. Just like Fast Times At Ridgemont High nailed California in the 80s. This movie nailed it for Tucson in the 80s. I laughed at Tic Toc Tile, because my father was working at Tucson Tile at the time and drove an old station wagon hauling tile..They had to of seen him driving down the road and put it in the movie..🤣😂 Great job on the filming locations…
I grew up in Tucson and lived there when they filmed both Revenge of the Nerds and Major League. You did a great job with this video, really enjoyed watching!
iWatched this movie so many times, iLove it!! it catches that mid-'80s vibe so well even thought the film was released i '87, but it was filmed in '86. This movie is in my top 10 of '80s movies for sure. Great video.🤝🏼
wow this really amazed me! so much remains the same! usually so much has changed from the 80s on every movie vs current day. this neighborhood looks pretty cool to me I'm digging that high school too! this is one of my favorite movies!
Kurt, You did it again!! GREAT Job. I have seen a bunch of filming location of this movie and everyone says they can not find the miller house. AGAIN, great job!!
Seen bits and pieces of this movie, never the whole thing. One of the 80s teen classics I’m going to have to watch some time. Great video, Kurt! Tucson looked/looks like such a great place!
This was one of the top watches for me in high school, I was a sophomore when this came out so it was veeeery relatable to me, it's def an 80's classic. I actually worked the theater when this came out so I watched it on my breaks. Great job on the video as always Kurt! Nice to see you branching out from LA. Keep it up!
Another outstanding job! Funny enough I literally had my Tucson U of A shirt on today too when I watched this. The mom and kid cameo crossing the street and the Pat Riley reference had me LOL! I do filming locations on TH-cam as well. I don’t do a lot of 80’s movies, but coincidentally the last few I’ve posted were all 80’s movies (Funny Farm, Bettlejuice, Hoosiers and Rudy). I gather you and I are about the same age and I love how much I can relate to your material and understand where you’re coming from. Keep it up man!
I love this movie! Yours is the very best, most complete filming location video that has been done for Can't Buy Me Love; and I am pretty sure I've seen them all. Great job! 😎👍
A great & informative video kurt. I was only 10 when this film came out,but remember watching it like it was yesterday,i think my older brother got it from the video shop. Also,i was very saddened to hear amanda peterson had passed away back in 2015 at the tragically young age of 43. 😢
Loved this. In the eighties this was my favorite movie. I kept it running on the VCR like a background feel good sound. I actually played one of the tapes so it pulverized. Amanda Peterson was every boys crush. Thrue the years me and one guy still drops oneliners. This, Thrashin and North shore were my film Bibles.
Just came across your channel and loved it. I happened to just watch this with my wife a few days ago and thought about looking it up and here you are showing off the film. Great series you got my sub.

One of my favorite rom-coms ever. RIP Amanda Peterson.
Thank you so much for watching
She was so beautiful. The drugs got her in the end. What a waste.
She grew up, and died, in the town I now work in. That blew me away.
@@TheNuckinFoob , what town is that she grew up in & died at? Is it Tucson?
@80s Life
Good vid brother I'm from Tucson that's my classic movie where exactly is Ronalds house
Let's hop in a time machine and go back to the 80s everybody!! #Classic
Let's go!
When and where and I’m there!!!!

I came from the future, and it's better to go back. hahahah
An 80s classic!

Wow I was junior in college when this came out, 1987 one of the best years of my life, Id go back in a heartbeat.
Classic...I must have seen this movie 100 times by now. Great memories. Outstanding research and work Sir. Thanks Kurt Crucial!
My pleasure. Thank you!
I seen it over a 100 times 2 but do u know all the words like I do
Me too!
You should do it over and not tell people she gave the money back. She was paying him for mowing the lawn.
Watching your videos is like sitting in the Delorean and traveling back in time, my heart is grateful for living this. Greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾
