East Bali | Lempuyang Temple | Lahangan Sweet | Taman Tirta Gangga | Gates of Heaven

We are sharing our experience of East Bali where we woke up very early in the morning to live our dreams. As this was our first time to Bali (but definitely not the last), we stuck to our preplanned itinerary and these spots were mainly Instagram influenced.
We booked a cab beforehand at around Rs 3000 for this half day tour. We visited :-
1. Lempuyang Temple a.k.a Gates of heaven. Morning hours are generally preferred because the sun is on opposite side of the gates and gives good lighting for great photos and videos. The weather might get cloudy sometimes and the mountains may not be clearly visible always.
2. Lahangan Sweet :- A great spot one can go as it is only 10 minutes Scooter ride and another 10 minutes off road Jeep drive to the spot.The journey is very good due to good road conditions.
3. Taman Tirta Gangga :- Yes it is not Ganga and is unrelated to river Ganga ! Beautiful Koi fish are fully fed to the brink of their neck if you visit late and as such they would not bother come to you even if you sprinkle whole bottle of fish food in the pond. Better to visit early to get good photos with large number of Koi fish.
