Great to see people shooting Melbourne & this video about it. We’re inundated with stuff from the US but we have a great city for interesting images and events that make it so diverse. Thanks.😊
Inspiring video. I'm getting back into my DSLR lately and re-acquainting myself with working with a 50mm prime lens. Seeing this kind of activity is encouraging. Thanks.
This just came up on my suggested videos and I'm so glad it did. A great idea, to have the meet-ups, and so nice to see people's photography - everyone had something strong, bold and interesting going on in their work.
Wow just came across this video. What a great idea having a photographers meet in Melbourne. I wish there was a group like this for videography. I'm going to follow this channel simply because I love seeing locals showcase their own creative styles. I think it's a great thing what you're doing with these meets.
Nice group! Street Photography can often be really lonely and secluded depending on ones style. It's always great to mix it up with friends. Also Heather looks super fun to shoot with.
Looks like fun! I shot film in San Francisco almost a decade before moving to France when I had my first kid and motivation and inspiration went down hill from there. But during covid, with film prices as they were (more so in Europe!!) so decided I'd go digital again. I had m glass ready so was most likely m9, or sony so I could go the scanning and adapt m glass route, but ended up with x100v instead. Shot only jpg for four years and it was a blast. But this year, I'm getting excited and want to put those m glass to good use again. Long story short, and weeks of hesitation, I went with the m11 because I feel it's better for long term. I'm a no body to any of you because I rarely post anything since I don't do those social media, but I guess I should create a IG space. Anyways, anyone coming to Paris, I'd be down to kick it.
I spent a month in Australia in august of 2018. My biggest regret was not spending more than four days in Melbourne. It looked so different than rest of the australian cities, and the vibe was also totally different. I need to go back one day. Too bad the flight is 20+ hours from Oslo, Norway 😬
Nice to see ... and though I shoot purely in digital, I'd love to see you guys around. We're a group of retirees who do the same thing you do, in Melbourne, every two weeks
Really nice vlog 🎉 seems like a happy bunch enjoying their craft. I am going for my first photowalk in 2 weeks here in Hong Kong which has been organised by CameraFilmPhoto .
Loved this style of content. Being based in Melbourne I would love to tag along on one of these meetups and get to know some of the people behind the images I've enjoyed for so long.
I recommend wearing running shoes when you do night photography in Melbourne CBD. Last 7 year the amount of time I was being chased to try to steal my camera often happen. And I was just minding my own business and shooting the night building and scenery. These days I recommend at least to have a few friends with you and avoid photographing alone especially at the CBD. Only using old DSLR nothing too special and idiot will try to grab it out of nowhere. So, recommend people to check surrounding and be safe. Melbourne is no longer as peaceful as it used to be.
Oh yeah, I met @lucewillis (Lucien) when he came to our group photo exhibition at Gallery Conceal in Tokyo. I remember that Contax camera strap holding the Canon camera, we had a chat about that! @heather_tichowitsch looks pretty cool!
Hey John! Thanks for having a chat that night. I felt like a fish out of water in there with all the locals until you said hi, such a big scene in Tokyo! 💪
that shot of the couple kissing in front of walkers is NUTS shout out heather
Very impressed by Heather's work, particularly!

Great video and group of people all drawn together through photography.Well done!
Well presented and great seeing people out and about with their gear. Photography as an art lives on 👋
