The passion Luke has when he's confronting Nicola at the LW reveal levels me. It's like Colin's talking to the audience as well as Pen. It makes my chest hurt. And, my god, the tears. I hope we see more Cressida next season. I also wish they could bring back Lord Debling somehow. I really like him. They really could have skipped a Benedict 3-way or 2 and made Pen and Colin's makeup sex at least a full minute instead of like 10 seconds. They also deserved a scene or two of them just talking through their issues and mending their relationship. They needed that connection. I love Polin so much.

@@Emilaria his tears during that scene broke my heart and yesss I want to see more Cressida!! I want to see her go down the good path. And I didn’t mind Benedict’s three-way that much, it was just weirdly placed when it kept cutting between that and the tension/ drama with the main storyline. And yep… just more Polin always (I didn’t know I was going to love them so much)

Luke Newton KILLED that Whistledown reveal scene! I saw an interview where he talked about it, and apparently he wasn't originally supposed to cry. But the scene was so emotional the tears just came of their own accord. The director loved it and asked him if he could do that again, and Luke said he honestly didn't think he could do it *without* crying.
As for what Penelope wrote about Colin as Whistledown, so many people justify it because what she said was true. But that's not really the point- the point is that, rather than going to her friend directly and privately, she chose to publicly call him out and lay all his insecurities bare before the entire ton. People couldn't forgive Colin for saying something in a private conversation (that he also believed to be true) that hurt Penelope's feelings, but they expect him to simply get over this just because there's some truth to what she said?
The problem is that Penelope is our viewpoint character. Which means that we see her actions and choices like we do our own- through the lens of all her history, struggles, character growth, and intentions. But we see Colin's only through the lens of how they affect Penelope. We fully support Penelope in giving him the cold shoulder after his comment last season, and want him to have to grovel to get back in her good graces. But when the shoe is on the other foot, we want him to just get over it, because it's getting in the way of Penelope's happily ever after.
I absolutely love this season! It is my favorite, by far! I honestly can't imagine any future season topping it for me. If you're going through Bridgerton withdrawals, I heartily recommend Sammy Bates' channel... she has done so many deep dives into characters, relationships, specific scenes... and they're not only fun to watch, but they're really insightful, too. There are a lot of character things that can be easy to miss, but once they're pointed out, it's so obvious. It's really added a whole new level to my enjoyment of this season in particular.

The last part, helped by the subtleties of Luke Newton's Colin, make this one the most rewatchable season yet

Given your interest in Cressida's story and her character arc. You might be interested in a short video about a secret Easter Egg hidden in the hair style of both Cressida and her mother's. The thumbnail is of her and her mother side by side. Showing their hairstyles on the last episode. It's on "Catquintrends" channel. She actually had quite a few videos of Easter eggs contained in the fashion and hair styles on Bridgerton. Her video is clear that Cressida should be returning in season 4 to explore more of her story. Though I want a fan in any way of her behaviour or actions, I think her mum's attitude is going to have a major shift before Cressida has a chance for love. I do think her outfits this season have become more and more extravagant and over the top, the more desperate she and her parents have become in getting her a husband.

I wanted to like Cressida this season but once she tried to blackmail them I was done with her. I realize she was desperate but trying to take money that she did not earn made me dislike her again. She has been so mean for most of three seasons, especially to Pen, then tries to profit off of her. If she had been a nicer person from the get go she may have already wed. Did you notice her hair when she was leaving in the black carriage? Chains across her forehead.

@@michellebarry1555 there was so much back and forth feelings with Cressida. I wanted her to choose good in the end and have somewhat of a happy ending (I hope this isn’t the last of her). It doesn’t excuse everything she did towards Penelope but hopefully there could’ve been some redemption. And I didn’t notice the chains!! That’s such a cool (yet really depressing) detail

I have really enjoyed the Bridgerton world Shondaland has developed. As a reader of all the books years ago,I can say this season was truer to the book “Romancing Mr. Bridgerton”. They have announced Benedict is next and the comment about the masquerade ball between Eloise and Benedict at the end before she left for Scotland was a direct reference to his book. If you are going through Bridgerton withdrawals I would love to see your reactions to the books written by Julia Quinn. You could do reactions to the books and comparison reactions - show vs books. Anyway I’d love to hear your thoughts on the source material. Oh and by the way, in the books Cressida has absolutely no redeeming qualities.
    Thanks. Love your channel.
