HAVING 18 children is a lot to deal with. Christopher and Desiree can’t remember a time when they’ve had a house to themselves. They spend between $10K and $15K on birthday and Christmas presents for the children each year. On a weekly basis, they spend between $250 to $500 every time they buy groceries. They usually buy four to five gallons of milk at a time. “It doesn’t take much for us to fill up the fridge", Desiree says. They’ve received plenty of judgement for having so many children. People complain about them bringing more people into the world but Desiree says: “We’re raising people who are going to put into society and put into the world and be more of an asset than a liability." As is often the case with siblings their children often get on each other's nerves but there’s never a dull moment. Today they're giving us a house tour and an insight into their lives.

    • @Skatejock21

you cant raise non-judgemental children. Its biologically impossible. Doesn't matter how many kids you have. We are biologically built to make judgements. People associate judgement with bad judgements but there are plenty of good judgements too. The brain judges within 1/10 of a second of seeing something. That's faster then it becomes a thought. Any parent can raise loving children, if the example is set.

Children are a blessing from The LORD. Most of us did not have big families. However, I welcomed 6 other children into our home, whose parents abandoned them. I have 6 siblings- Dad had 3 children in a prior marriage & they have 4 children between them. My parents could afford to have us; there was only 1 shared bedroom during part of our childhood & we've all been productive members of society in adulthood. Despite all that, I don't think having handfuls of children is something people should aim for.

I am the oldest of my mom's 11 kids and my dad's 6! Childhood was awful! They divorced when I was a baby cuz by the time I was 2 she was with hubby #2 (of3) and I had a baby sister! I felt like a miserable slave most of the time cuz all I ever heard was YOU'RE THE OLDEST, DO THIS! DON'T LET YOUR BROTHER SPLASH WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR AT BATHTIME, ETC! ETC! EVEN THOUGH I WAS ONLY 2 years older than him! No matter whose house I was at, it was watch the little ones, don't let them do this or that! At 5 years old, I had babies propped up on pillows on me as my mom did chores and on and on! Washed dishes STANDING on a milk crate! I felt like a slave! It was chaotic and noisy but clean! We were poor but content, always fed but few gifts or presents! To sum up, I'D JUST RATHER BE DEAD, PERIOD! IN THESE TIMES, NO WAY! BUT GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS! OH, forgot to mention kidney punches from my grampa! So many of us that we lived in 2 houses! Oldest 4 or so lived with grandparents on same lot! Gramps would come up out of the blue, imo, and snatch me up and punch/slap the pee out of me! NEVER EVER knew what I did, to THIS day, to deserve this! The pain and shock was indescribable and I would spasm and piss like a dog or something! No one ever spoke up against this! Just go wash yourself and put dry clothes on! Yeah, fun times! Blessings! 😥😯🤤😫😮☠️😥😮☠️☠️🙏🙏

ALL children are a blessing, and I also think that if you want a large family and can handle it then GO FOR IT!!! This family looks as it has lots of love and has it all under control. If anyone has anything negative to say, then they have an issue with children OR they are upset because they could not even raise one or two effectively. If I could have had more children, I sure would have. I was an only child for almost nine years growing up and I ALWAYS wanted a big family! I guess it's big compared to many but nothing like this, but to me the more babies and children the better. God bless them!
