We live in a world where people die cause of war, poverty etc. I want to document these events. Need to make a movie on "NO WAR". I like vasanth balan, he made some good movies Veyil, Angadi theru, Aravaan etc. his movies reflects reality a bit more..
I have watched this short film many times earlier . But today when I was reading “The imp and the crust” a short story by Tolstoy , I felt that this short might be a modern day adaptation of that short story . 😊

Hey Nalan, Heard a lot about your short films. Such a neat job on "Soodhu Kavvum". Picked this to watch your work. Felt compelling to share my thoughts for such a compact execution on MORALITY ( You tagged it as fantasy). Through critic's eyes, all lead actors were excellent. Smart direction and perfect pacing for a short film. Attention to detail was good except for the last line when one of the satan/devil spells 'Brahmastram' which was a logical contradiction. But analogy of 'emotions' to 'evil' was well conceived. I would wait to watch your future creations and share my thoughts.

Nalan or any short film maker in India, does n't make art movies or movie with good story line. They just want to make the audience laugh. Hi... u really make good movies! I like the presentation, but the story is probably not so compelling. For a comedy genre, i think would be nicer if it ended a bit dramatic. Just my thought though. Btw did you learn to make movies on your own? Looks so professional!

And who are U making up these rules you can do this not that? as creators when we place our creation b4 public the audinace and critics have a right to express their views and point out areas of improvement. Humor doesn't give U licence 2 do anything U want. Tamil cinema has gone too long with this nonsesne with stereotyping of Nair Tea stalls, portrayal of Marwadis & Brahmins. In any other civilized group this would be rejected as outright racism!!
