It took 12 years for the Typhoid vaccine to enter Pakistan's EPI. Researcher Kaniz Farwa of the Department of Paediatrics & Child Health along with Principle Investigator Dr Imran Nisar are part of MIRNA, a project to introduce crucial GBS and RSV disease vaccines which lead to high disease burden in low-income countries such as Pakistan.
