The positioning of whoever was covering Odell on the 2pt attempt showed some of the best defensive IQ I've seen in this game by staying just close enough to contest the pass but also far enough off to cover the flats and what's annoying about it is the fact it was probably completely on accident.
From what ive noticed, block shedding doesnt refer to pass rush for the most part. The players finesse and power move really determine this. The block shedding comes into play once the pass rushers FIRST move fails and if the block shedding is too low then he's less likely to shed the block. Thats why a lot of dts shed first before an edge rusher will.
You should do an updated version of the Bengal Franchise Universe Sporcle quiz with all the main stats categories. Would be cool to see how well you remember players on both sides of the ball now after a few seasons of Giants franchise.

Go back and watch some of his gameplay from 2-3 years ago, he used to sprint backwards 15 yards and try to flick a bomb 80 yards off one foot constantly. So yes, you are seeing him backing up but it's gotten so much better over the years. It's all part of the madden journey haha.
His justification of not running the ball is the funniest thing in the world to me. I love this series. Averages over 5 a carry and only runs 30% of the time and says he won’t run on 2nd and long. Could make it a more manageable 3rd down with a working run game but instead passes with a struggling pass game.
I feel like a few throws especially crossers when there is just a bit of separation would be hit if he bullet passed it instead of throwing a lob. Lob gives the corner time to catch up

Start Weathersby in Odell’s spot and keep Toney in the slot. You’ll have Larry smith and Kendall on the outside with the speed advantage and Toney excelling in the slot. If things get too bad you could always trade Odell and Toney and start Larry, Kendall, and Greg Sheldon

It may be my experience but in my franchise I tried to pour time into run stopper to at least 85 because it gives great block shed stats each time
