OT strings have the longest life span (I've tried most of the strings on the market rn) by far. Which already makes it the best budget option. Also, it has a 30-minute break-in time that could be sped up by stretching it for few minutes. It doesn't lose speed over time, it doesn't gain speed over time(like kitty kekw), it doesn't get scratchy over time, and it doesn't get stiff and slip off of responsive pads over time. It's the best string I've ever used.
Which type
@Muhamad Fiqri It depends on which yoyo you use. Wider bearing gap requires a thicker string. If it snags then thin ones are optimal. You can also just choose normal and then if it snags, change the pad to a harder pad (hard pads have less friction).

this is not meant to be negative just something i found funny
I have been using ot normal almost exclusively for the past year, and would like to point out that this string has a short break in period where it will hold tension better. At first it can be a little annoying but once it breaks in, you get the fast slacks without the issue with string tension. I understand how it is hard for you to go from kitty to this. I have been using OT string so consistently that kitty seems too soft and too slow for me.
Kitty is just overpriced...

Hi Brandon. I'm a string junky. But I'm with ya 100%. I like their strings and when I randomly throw one on it always reminds me that I dig em. But you're right. I'm a fat/xl guy. As far as bulk goes I prefer a kitty xl or a sochi fat. Sochi xl is def a rope. Still fun sometimes. But these guys reg is def my favorite. It actually plays more around a kitty fat area to me. If that's a way to explain it. Kitty normal are thin, though I always surprisingly like them too just to switch it up. Always surprises me as well. Could be we just like to yoyo. Lol. Anyway it's funny because I threw one of these on putting combos together listening to Rawhide for your Dad! 😃 And thought I'd see what youtube had to say about the strings since I was reminded how much I like them. Of course you popped up. Always great content. Have to find your reaction to the pads. I had different experiences on different yoyos. Of course. But mixed emotions on them. Only tried the pink.

I prefer OT than Kitty. Goes well with my style better. But I agree about tension holding thing.
for me personally, after the break-in period ot holds its tension way better than kitty.
