LRM Online's Gig Patta spoke with Billy Bob Thornton at the Los Angeles premiere of Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties: The Bubbles and the Shitrockers Story.
While Bubbles and his band, "The Shitrockers," are playing shows around Nova Scotia a viral internet clip lands them a European tour opening for Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters. With Randy as their roadie, they head to Prague but soon get kicked off the tour, busking to survive. Can Ricky and Julian come to the rescue?
*Not just fiction on screen, Bubbles and The Shitrockers are also a real-life musical act fronted by Mike Smith. The band will release a new 14-track album this fall, following their successful run on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, as well as extensive touring across the US and Europe, including performances alongside Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters.
Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties: The Bubbles and the Shitrockers Story is in select theaters on Friday, December 6, 2024.
