  • I managed to get two videos recorded this weekend, and after the previous video got delayed in the editing process, this has led to two uploads in the same day!
    In this episode, I return to the Brighton Main Line within Train Simulator, and drive the AP Class 319 in in Connex livery, in a scenario based in 1997. The service I am driving is train 1A55, the 10:50 Connex Express service from Brighton to London Victoria, calling only at East Croydon along the way.

      We're not going to be fussy. We're just happy you're back!
      Don't forget my suggestion for the West Highland Line merge from Iain Mackay; it's in the Workshop and combines both WHL routes with Suburban Glasgow, and includes the Oban Line. Oban to Glasgow Queen is a scenario that exists, so this might be a good video for the long drive enthusiasts. I think he's fixing up the scenery, so a return trip when the route later updates going the other way is possible as well. The drive also incidentally covers the Maryhill Line, which originates at Anniesland and goes to the same Glasgow Queen destination through two alternate stations to Maryhill itself while you would approach from Westerton. Having done videos (not yet uploaded) on the SUG route, I could tell you all about this, but I'll let you research the lines and closed stations in the area. Did I mention you can run the Armstrong 156 on this run? =)
      I have an older version of the merge and might do a video of the Argyle Line from Larkhall to Dalmuir itself. If you didn't sub to that while it was up, you may not be able to get it, but that's a good one too.

      You're absolutely right. I have a copy of that Drivers Eye View of the Connex Express on DVD and when I drive this scenario on Train Simulator, I fully recognise the AI used since the Class 319 Volume 2 Pack was updated earlier this year when the Class 411/412 Pack was released in January this year.

    You made a major error at the start. You forgot to change the blind to Victoria and the scenario says to set the headcode to 4

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally missed it - though I'd consider it more a minor error. Perhaps the headcode blind was broken on this run? ;)

    damn you have some mad specs. wish i had a 3070. atm i have a 2060. but i keep getting out of memory crashes on ts2021 and idk why i have 6gb graphic memory and 16gb ram so idk what is wrong

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Out of memory crashes can happen to all of us at some point - make sure you're in 64-bit TS, use the AP route stability pack if you can, and if a particular scenario still won't load, try and reduce the scenery quality slider by one level. :)

    • @Lowse1345

      @@PTGRail thanks I’ll look into it

    • @Lowse1345
      @Lowse1345 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PTGRail ok I looked into the AP stability pack and I can’t find anything of this day. AP don’t have it on their websites but I have seen forums of it from the past year or 2. Thing is I get like 400fps when I don’t need that, I would like to limit it to 60 to relieve stress as it idles at over 90% usage. I have an RTX 2060 aswell so it should perform well. If you wondering what’s rlly happening well: I would be in the world editor creating a route and occasionally it will crash after placing an object or loading into the scenario editor, it’s always an out of memory error. It should be steady because my specs are: Ryzen 5 3600 / B450 tomahawk MAX / M.2 SSD / Zotac RTX 2060 / 600W 80+ psu

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I gave them in the commentary in this and my previous video. The specs of the new build are:
      Intel Core i9 10900k cooled with MSI AIO Water Cooler. Asus Z490-E motherboard. 16gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3600 RAM. Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics card. Corsair 750w PSU. TS and TSW are also both now running off SATA SSDs, which seems to reduce stuttering.

    the reason the lighting in the tunnels is not working is probably because you turned off the dynamic lighting in the settings of the game

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a bug with the route - there's a fix available on the DP Simulation website, I just forgot about it. I'd never drive with dynamic lighting turned off, as the game doesn't look great without it. :)
