I feel the hen may have laid the egg as soon as she arrived. Few weeks back I had a hen fly 14 hours 20 minutes and as soon as she arrived she laid an egg. I felt so bad and did not think she was eggy when I shipped. That is sad about the smoke and heat on the race. Your pigeons looked so good in the previous race. You cannot use a race like this to judge the pigeons or what you did with them. Another great video. Keep it up.
I cannot imagine how they can fly with an egg ready to be laid, really uncomfortable. I did not shipped my best birds beacuse they were molting their wings really bad, that was a good decision. I did not expect that smoke on race day. All the old birds that I flew this year, just a handful were good birds, the rest I just kept for the old bird season to make a team, because I did not have enough. At the end I got back what I was planning to keep for next year. It is sad to select this way, but harder to kill them myself. Thanks for all the advices, and I will definetily keep aplying your system
I admire these courageous creatures that travelled 500 miles through the smoke and the heat to return home. That's one of the reasons I love the sport. Great video! Now it's time to move onto the YB season. Looking froward to having some group tosses with you. Cheers!
Wow really tough race brother! A lot of negative factors, but all in all given the circumstances 50% returns isn’t bad. I’m sure by the sounds of it there were a lot of losses. That’s pigeons tho, nothing to do but move foward. The youngbirds look great and I was glad to see that famous grizzle make it back! He’s a beauty! God bless brother and great job this season
Yes, really bad race for everybody. There are birds still coming home after 2 weeks. It was really bad with the smoke. When I shipped I did not know about the smoke. It just came the day after shipping and stay just for the race. The day after the race it was clear again. So bad. Yes, the grizzle did it well. Thanks
I’m asking because I want to try something similar this years and want to know what are your thoughts, recommendations, what would you do again and what not.
I think is really good. I got good results in few races and I did not have to kill myself training the birds. The birds are kept in form easily. Good luck
I didn’t ship the 500 , alway did before but this race was a suicide race for the birds as you noticed everyone lost 50% of their birds . Not a good year for the old birds I lost to many good birds, not to happy about it . I’m going to concentrate on my young one now . Take care.
Yes, really bad race. That smoke came just at a bad moment. The birds that I lost werent any good. I kept at home my best birds because they were molting the winds really bad. Good decision. Good luck with the young birds
I would have kept the birds home with the smoky conditions. But that's just me. Please don't tell me you listen to anything that Kurt has to say about pigeon racing. Yeah, the guy on your TV screen.. LOL
Lol, No, I just watch him for entertaining. So funny how he stuck a bird after just 1 good race. I did not know about the smoke. It came the day after shipping. We were supposed to get rain, but never smoke
@@quinteroloft9530 .. Yeah, he's not a person to learn from that's for darn sure..LOL Like you, I just watch, but I can usually only take so much of the BS before I have to leave..
Great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video, bad race. LOL

Hi Quintero. What are your thoughts about the new system of feeding/training at the end of the season compared with previous years?
I’m asking because I want to try something similar this years and want to know what are your thoughts, recommendations, what would you do again and what not.
