Last year Clare threw everything at Limerick, didn't beat us and were flat afterwards. Tipperary exactly the same today.

It's almost the exact opposite to that. We went out and hammered waterford in the final game of round robin after the draw with limerick. We were flat in the quarter final but still beat wexford and then fell apart v kilkenny. Nothing like tipps collapse yesterday

@Nicholas Jordan it wasnt a dead rubber as Tipp were not through regardless of what happened in the other game...and were lucky to get through....if you want an example of why it should have been a draw, the ref gave a free against the cork full back for picking the ball off the ground. Cameras clearly showed it hopped into his hand. Easy free.

That referee was a disgrace today. He gave nothing to limerick and the soft frees for cork kept them in it

What's a soft free? A free is given for a foul. Gillane dived for a penalty and held O Donoghues hurley all day, byrnes got away with a shoulder to luke meads head when the rulebook punishment is a red card for "dangerous play", cahalane grabbed a bouncing ball and got blown for picking off the ground

The referee didn't tolerate Limerick's usual dirty tactics, hurleys around the neck, frontal charges, elbows to the face etc. He was dead right. Referees are starting to penalise Limerick players for their dirty foul play and thank God for that.
