@michaelbledsoe8255 same, the workflow in making a beat in maschine is so sick. I went from starting on cubase, and then years later found maschine, and not turned back. I am worried about their direction with latest hardware, literally taking my s49 mk3 back as it doesn't integrate with software like previous. If that's sorted, that keyboard is insane !!
I hope they add a few plugins for Maschine + to use in standalone mode! Such as solidbus compressor … putting it on the master really helps glue stuff 2gether!
Everything NI communicated about 3.0 indicates that this is a very small upgrade, apart from the stem separation. Given the massive shortcomings in Maschine 2 in the area of the piano roll editing, in the song arrangement and in how it handles Audio “tracks”, it is very disappointing after such a long radio silence. The announcement of a large bunch of multi-sampled instruments (Maschine Central?) seems like a desperate move to keep Maschine+ alive. It’s of course a lot easier and cheaper to produce packs of multi-samples than to develop plug-ins that run on M+. But AKAI seems to have no problem regularly churning out new native (😂) MPC plug-ins and even revamping its entire OS to enable full arrangements. Perhaps AKAI lives on a planet where the pandemic never happened 😂? I absolutely love the Maschine platform but have lost all confidence in NI since they stopped investing in it. The shocking removal of Maschine support from the new keyboards painfully exposed the sad fact that NI no longer sees Maschine as a worthwhile long term platform. What a waste…
Thanks for your feedback. I think stem separation is going to be a highlighted feature. I was recently using an earlier version of Maschine 2 for compare and contrast purposes. I'd have to say, over the years with all of the small updates, Maschine 2 has become a lot better from when they initial release of it. That should have been the significant update. I'm curious if version 3 will be the same way. That removal may have been a business strategy to entice people to use Kontrol mk3 with the newest software of Maschine 3 🤷♂️
@@FizzENT You made a valid point about the development of Maschine 2 - there were 18 dot upgrades over the years. I'll venture to say the same will happen with Maschine 3.0. It may appear to be a small set of upgrade features to start especially after the claims of waiting so long, but I believe they will come. People who are talking about jumping ship to Akai, should just grab a life jacket and get to swimming already.
There is a major problem with midi recording. When I record midi and I want to undo the notes ive just recorded in on my mac by pressing option x it starts to do this thing where begins to undo every note at a time rather than the whole section I’ve just recorded.
Maschine is great for ideation. But the MIDI grid editor can definitely do with some improvements. Hardware wise the JAM and Maschine MK3 are perfect for rapid idea creation. I don’t really work with STEMs and samples but instead use the many amazing NKS compatible libraries.

I’m going to be optimistic about Maschine 3.0 they should do well considering how late they are to the party coming with all the “features” that everyone already had for like a year or so now. And please for the love of God allow us to work with MP3 files. Idk who decided that was a good idea for it to not be supported. Smh

@zmmmzmmmz yeh was an assumption based on over 10 years of purchasing their equipment. Even the shop keeper was baffled. You do realise if you don't live on TH-cam or chat forums, you wouldn't have any way of knowing it wasn't compatible. Plus based on it being native instruments, and ALL of their previous gear ALL working, you could EASILY assume their equipment would always work with it's software. Clearly me and the shopkeeper was wrong in thinking so. Also it support is coined "BASIC INTEGRATION", and that could literally mean anything. Either way couple days and if all good will keep, if not will return as been accepted. Anyways thanks for your input ☺️
It is clear from their announcement and image, that this will not be a revolutionary update. More of an update to arguably stay competitive. For my use cases, this is not terrible news. The fact that they did not highlight a new and vastly improved midi editor is probably most disappointing. This is a clear deficiency currently. That said, I think a lot here depends on the pricing. If it is reasonable for what is being delivered, then most will be ok.
