@@ActionKid fair is similar to the big E in Springfield mass. It showcases all of the New England states, each having its own building with specialty of the state, Maine has potatoes and sell fabulous baked stuffed potatoes, there’s a beer garden, rides for the kiddos and a better living center packed with vendors selling stuff to the public. Mardi Gras parade also fun. That’s in September. If you could get a sit down scooter and do a limited video, like the the TikTok guy, he doesn’t seem to be slowed down

AK...Great video! The New York State Fair in Syracuse is twice the size of CNE and is one of the largest and oldest state fairs in the U.S.
I believe the Royal Agricultural Fair in Toronto in November is more like The New York State Fair.

Tailgating like you were & going too fast (20+ MPH) on such a small, light scooter is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Even after your accident, you were still driving too aggressively.
I know you're from NYC (I am too!) where you have to have that drive like a Taxi cab mentality, but be more careful out there & make better choices especially when you don't have steel all around you like in a car.
I'd never get on one of those scooters (or even a bike or motorcycle of any kind in traffic with cars & trucks), simply being for the fact that it's just too dangerous. A small bump in the road, as you demonstrated, can take you out! Not to mention that any fool in any even small car can kill you INSTANTLY.
Stick to walking around, mass transit, Taxi's or even just renting a car. It isn't worth the risk to your life.
I wish you all the best especially in your recovery & hope you've learned a valuable lesson. You weren't seriously harmed this time. If the car behind you was tailgating like you were you'd certainly be DEAD or wish you were suffering in the hospital right now. There's actually worse things than a quick death.

Yep, it was the tailgating. He gave himself a fraction of a second to see it. I watched in slo-mo and didn't even see it. Tailgating is always a bad idea regardless of the vehicle.

And that is why electric scooters scare me. As fun and easy and comfortable as they are, all it takes is one weird divet or bump for those tires to kick you off the board. Glad it wasn't a worse crash.

Hope you are doing okay ActionKid, everyone on two wheels in Toronto has has at least one crash I think. I remember getting my bike tire jammed into a streetcar track and it flung me into a nearby taxi's hood. it's never fun, but you are now initiated. :).

I hope I'm not coming off as judgemental or anything, but definitely slow down when you are riding on roads in that condition. That whole area you were in looked pretty beat up. Definitely not suited for e-scooters at all. Take care!
Agree with that, e-scooters are not safe in general, when we got them here in Oslo some years ago there was a huge increase in accidents and the emergency room was flooded for months
I was watching the car in front of you because when you turned you entered a school zone and therefore- speed bumps. Those things should be clearly marked! You’re probably not the first rider to wipe out in that area.

it was a speed bump, you were riding too close to the car in front of you and so you didn't have a clear view of the road, i had anxiety watching you ride behind that car, just waiting for something to pop up

Bingo! It also looks like he was annoying the driver in front. It looks like he was breaking checking him since he was on his tail with his speed. The reality is if you're over 20, you shouldn't be riding a scooter because your injuries are going to be like someone in their 70s! Plus, the road maintenance isn't great there. Let this be a lesson, to older folks, thinking you can ride a scooter without taking a digger 😜!
