But the betrothed part is not true, I am fairly certain, because according to all sources it seems pretty clear that he was going to the opera when he died, no daughters were with her, and no betrothed of the daughters were anywhere near. I don't know if Francis had any favorites among his children, but as far as I know he was closest to Maria Anna, who was intellectually the closest to him and shared several hobbies of his, especially the study of natural sciences. She was the most broken after his death too.
