1974 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a big part of this old dude's life in horror film history...no I didn't discover it until the 80's...but once I did...
so proud to show off my Leatherface item's...though most don't get it...
if I collected dead deer heads...I'd fit right in...oh well, what you gonna do?

I'm an 80s kid and I loved the slasher craze of the 80s.
I couldn't get enough of them, even the cheesy ones.
Then I saw TCM around 2002 on USA with commercials on a tiny TV.
Me and some friends watched it and everyone was silent, totally glued to the TV.
I was shocked at how good it was.
It was better than all the slashers I had ever seen, and I've seen them all.
A family member watched it in the Drive-in when it came out.
He said he was so terrified that he didn't use the bathroom, he just held it until he got home.

This looks like a cool documentary. I'm a fan of so many people included in this. Not just Gunnar, but also Bruce Campbell, Debbie Rochon, Tiffany Shepis, etc.

I am reading one of his earlier books about the coastline and the environment. He is an excellent and very thoughtful writer. I strongly advise people pick it up and experience a very different side to this man.
